Does Ryslatha’s Coil actually scale bleed damage?

Check youtube for Itsyogi (something like that), he made a good video recently to explain exactly how and why it works.

More Attack Damage has never really scaled it in the past. I wouldn't be surprised if this some bug that will be fixed up next league.

I always thought it did.

I just ran some PoB to double check but I haven't found attack damage to scale bleed at all. Rage/Berserk doesn't. The fortify nodes that increase attack damage during fortify don't. Being a berserk has generic attack physical damage, it doesn't scale it. Multistrikes less attack damage doesn't decrease it.

I understand the math behind raising your maximum bleed damage so overtime you will hit your 8 big hits. But PoE has always been careful about its wording and by the looks of it, it shouldn't. At least that is how I see it.
ItsYoji has a bleed glad build that uses Ryslatha's.
Doesn't scale the bleed too much from I can see in PoB.
Total DPS with Belt - 401162, Bleed is 47295
Total DPS w/o Belt - 384554, Bleed is 45756

One last thing.. You can use PoB Fork to see how Ryslatha's affects your bleed dps. It's a must-have tool for fine-tuning your build.

I have downloaded PoB Fork.
Indeed it takes into account a bunch of different things like 60% of dealing 100% more damage, snipe stacks etc.

Ryslatha's coil does STILL does not scale the bleed damage at all.
When the game uses the word base damage it means the damage you see on your weapon you have equipped.

Yes, it still does. Facts don't care about how you feel. >_>

You don't use the LocalIdentity branch

Any additional input you can provide other than saying that it works because other people say it works?

I simply said that, differently from what I've been previously told, even PoB Fork does not recognize Ryslata as a way to scale bleed damage.

I am not even saying it doesn't work, but obviously either PoB and PoE wiki are wrong or everybody else is.

It does.

The key phrase here is base damage. If you decrease the minimum damage by 30% and the maximum damage by 40%, you'll still have a net increase.

As I said earlier, and as pointed out by kompaniet:

PLUS the added flat damage on gear.

And Ryslatha's Coil does not scale BASE damage, which indeed would affect the bleed dps, but only the ATTACK damage, which does not affect bleed dps.

Again, Ryslatha could still work somehow, but then the PoE wiki page is wrong and the ingame wording is not clear.
