It's probably somewhere in-between.

It would be freakin' suicide for them (GGG) to have streamer RNG, if it somehow got out there. It's not worth the trouble, nor the gain. It would only take one anonymous employee with some sense of morals.

I believe more in bias, than I do in streamer RNG, because confirmation bias is, unlike streamer RNG, a proven fact - that happens - all the time - everywhere. People don't like to think about streamers playing five times as much as them. People don't like to think about some streamers playing five times as efficient as them. People don't like to think about streamers are rolling five times as many dices as them.

They see a streamer getting lucky a few times, often in compilations, and their mind automatically goes "this doesn't happen to me that often, but it happens to streamers all the time". Maybe not you, maybe not Jimmy, but you know as well as me that a lot of the suspicion comes from examples like that.

Suspicions? You're allowed. Hell, you're allowed to think that the earth is flat too. But to be sure/convinced that the earth is flat - without proof, just because you don't trust the people saying it's round, even though they've done some bad shit? Nah, man.

Idk man, we have had other developers admit this type of behavior before so it's not without precedent.

Dont forgot that before Tencent bought out GGG, they had ownership, with stake in the game, also owning websites selling GGG currency. If that isnt FUBAR idk what is.

So believe whatever you want, but GGG is not some beacon of humanity. I think their ethics are HIGHLY suspect, and I would be surprised by nothing.

Great answer.
Intellectually honest and intelligent post, the way I like it.

Completely agreed with the thread starter. [Removed by Support] have special RNG, PR version, especially if they are "admin's friends" like SteelImage, Alcoholic or Zniazabaran (or whatever). This game is built only for PR to make even more PR.

What produced this jealousy? Stop watching highlight reels if it makes you feel that way, problem solved.
The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.
I liked a clip by Ventrua, where he put forth a thesis that GGG support watches streamers and basically clicks the "good rng" button, it was about 2 seconds before he got Shavs drop out of nowhere.

Some "coincidences" are really suspicious.

Since GGG has ability to restrict bots from getting drops by profiling them, it is not unreasonable to think that there is some PR version of PoE profile to be attached to specific user accounts.

A priority queue is not proof that they buff streamer drops.
Yes, they can manually adjust drops, but if you think that this game does it then surely you must think that most other games do it.

The streamers werent on a special server, GGG has the ability to manipulate accounts to provide perks.

There is some sort of global settings for accounts that allowed them to bypass the que on the public server of their choice
