Its a good thing the roll on the jewel is pretty much "whatever", just get the cheapest you can find. I plan on getting mine through endless heisting before maps.

If there's anything I wish I had more time for this week it's more leveling testing for the Siege Ballista side of things. I don't think there will be anything wrong with using the current leveling tips since both HFT and WoC got buffed a little (even with the Spell Totem Support nerf). I haven't looked at Zizaran's latest video but it looks like it has a Hierophant-based Explosive Arrow ballistae setup, so that's also probably something worth looking at as I imagine the trees are at least somewhat similar.

Thanks man, but please try to post a tree that uses determination before the league starts, if possible, maybe even grace too, I played this build for atlas invasion and it was really good but it felt like skitterbots COULD be replaced with determination/grace/vitality/whatever, thanks again for everything, keep it up!

Playing without det/grace this days feel a little painfull, maybe some nodes up right for mana reservation?

The way to fit both grace, determination and hatred is:

- enlighten 3
- spec charisma + 15% reservation efficiency
- spec reflexes above magebane + 25% efficiency for grace
- spec adamant + 25% efficiency for determination (not complete waste if you have brutal restraint there with a good passive)

11% unreserved mana left (hatred + grace + determination + enlighten)

Keep in mind you have to cut points from somewhere and it's probably damage points or life (and the build already has little w/o garukhan which is expensive early).

Cheaper way without enlighten leaving 29% mana in case 11% is too little to feel comfy:

Remove enlighten and either grace or determination (w/e you prefer, assuming iron reflexes determination is better to keep). Remove either grace or determination mastery + wheel (reflexes or adamant). Spec 100% reservation efficiency of defiance banner on cloth & chain (another good brutal restraint passive).

Keep hatred + defiance banner + determination (or grace, one or the other).

Keep in mind without skitterbots you can't use elemental focus and hypothermia together, but I don't think original setup here had ele focus anyway. You also can't use secrets of suffering (but I don't think the build had that either).

If you use hyrri's chest and not wildwrap, you can spec evasion mastery on survivalist or reflexes for double evasion from chest, it's massive.

Tbh I think losing skitterbots is fine, surviving is better than having some slightly higher dps.

P.S. You have to decide what to cut, I'd probably cut first the jewel at scion and put rain of splinter wherever and then cut the suppression nodes (less crit than other crit nodes), but after that it's really hard to cut anything.

Hello guys, first of all I want to thank Wallach for this guide, I must say Im new to POE and this was my first complete league, I tried this build almost at the end of 3.16 and god its sooo amazing!! I was able to kill Sirus A8 (for first time) and now I ran out of time to clear more content so... for sure this is going to be my league start build for 3.17 and Im really excited aout it!

Like some of you, I think the only downside of this build is the leveling to maps part. This days I decided to drop my progression on the league to start with the "how the hell do I make this work at the begining" and just to let you know, I like bow builds a lot and I've tried many of them, so I decided to try to use lightning arrow and ballistas (siege and ice shot) and it has been a nightmare to level up and clear maps. After killing Kitava on act 5 starts to feel a little better on maping (thats because you get more totems from the passive tree) but it takes years to kill bosses so its just not viable unless you have a lot of patience.

Now I think I will try the Explosive Arrow ballista route to see if it works better, especially on bosses, but I know that will require a lot of respec points.

That's all for now, I just wanted to say thanks and give you my newbie point of view haha

They're going to nerf all of the 0 mana interactions with Blessing before the actual league launch anyway. Don't plan anything around that interaction.

Hey Wallach, thanks for the great build. Going to do this build because it seems a little more viable than FP this league, will you be updating the leveling section with similar suggestions to how you leveled with a bow in scourge league? I will probably do Holy Flame totem because I am so used to it but curious about how you plan to level at first, thanks in advance!
