PoE2: "Failed to connect to instance"

Reinstalling fixed the issue for me in the short term. So far so good

I'm having the same problem. Will try and fix files, then re-install and report back

I have same after done my location i was go in town and get unxpected disconnect, then i cant log in my instance zone, waiting 1h dont solve this problem. Help!

you need to use a vpn at least thats how i got mine to work

This is a connection issue and exists in PoE 1 aswell, it's related to the GGG servers, your ISP and routing, try using a VPN or a routing program like Exit Lag and see if that helps, unfortunately this happens a lot to me aswell in Poe 1 and 2, Exit Lag / VPN usually fixes it for me, you can also try changing the server youre connecting to from the login screen and was it ( ALT+click or CTRL+click ?) when choosing a waypoint to open a new instance, that could also help, GL

if this is infact the same issue then I doubt GGG will ever do anything about it, I've had that issue on poe 1 for over 5 years.
