POE 2 bloodmage - spell leech not working

Feels like I need to spend my entire 30k gold to unspec spell leech and Sanguimancy because I'm losing from running out of life and flasks without even being hit for bosses that I have beaten without the ascendancy. This is lame.
Here another one with the same problem. No sense; I play better with no asc. points enabled.
devs should listen and fix blood mage. if you put 10% there, make it 10%!
it should be as strong to overleech your HP significantly, even when you are casting. when you cast and hit something it should be able to mitigate fair amount of damage, and so on.

bloodmage is thematic after all, it should be the best leeching class.

lets hope for the best. im sticking to my chaos dmg no minion bloodmage and waiting it out.

As bloodmage, don't want to reroll! Please fix the leech-leech resist issue!

maybe giving it a minimum fixed % could help. It feels week spend like 120HP on a cast and get back less HP than basic hp regen
Anybody tried it after the 0.1d buff? They have not specified the detail of the buff.
Todays patch fixed the blood leech node, it does leech something. It's not huge but is enough to regain skill cost and then some. Anyone knows if it now works proper with Blood Magic passive, or is it still doubling the life cost?

I'm a casual-ish player wtih not a lot of free time to play, slowly making my way through Act II right now one 40 minute play session at a time. I've been hoping Blood Mage would be rebalanced and viable by the time I get to the point of ascending.

I love the idea of the blood mage but if it's a PITA to play then I need to pick between infernalist or just not ascending, and some of my current build decisions are relevant to that, so I'll be putting myself on a difficult-to-change path pretty soon.

If Blood Mage is viable now then I'd love to have it confirmed.

It is fixed but Bloodmage is still underpowered as of now. 4 ascendancy points just to have the ability to leech and the life cost downside is still quite huge.

I suggest going for infernalist, so you won't hate yourself.

The Ascendancy is still in a pretty bad spot right now, I wouldn't recommend playing it.
There is another bug with the first node. If you're wearing the unique armour Couture of Crimson, the blood orb passive just turns off after you take or deal enough damage. Very annoying.

Blood mage is just so bugged right now.
