tried dying and respawning, slowly attacked him, still immune after half hp gone.

I'm giving up the map.

Same happens for me, tried to leave map and spawn in town and die to boss. Nothing works, he's just invincible after first phase.

Still bugged. Not happy with this one.

I found a fix: let him kill you and reset at the checkpoint. Go fight him again, but drag him to the closed door near the checkpoint. This way it's easier for him to enter the next stage/grab the bell and doesn't bug in my experience.

I had the same issue but it really works if you get him to the closed door in the beginning. If you fail to do so just let him kill you.

Same issue. He's immune. Running around forever waiting for any state change to see if I can damage - no dice. Didn't want to die and lose my experience, so just logging for 15 minutes. Guess I will lose my waystone and see if I can route around that node. Will submit via /bug in game.

Same issue.

Hint: you don't need to die and loose XP.
Instead do this:
Esc -> Exit to character selection -> Press small "home" icon on your character portrait frame -> confirm to log in to hideout.

This bug is 9 months old, literally from the beginning of the game. GGG, please fix this once and for all. Tired of losing XP to this bug all the time!!!
