CRITICAL: Abyss Rares only drop "Omen of the Liege" inside cloud – Melee classes excluded from loot

Severity: Critical (Game-breaking for specific builds/classes)

Bug Description: There is a persistent and severe issue with Abyss rare monsters. If these monsters are killed while the player is standing inside their cloud effect, the loot table is broken, and they exclusively drop "Omen of the Liege." To access the full/correct loot table, the player must be standing outside the cloud at the moment of the kill.

Why this is a major issue: This mechanic effectively excludes all Melee classes and close-range builds from obtaining proper loot from these encounters. As a Melee fighter, it is mechanically impossible to kill these monsters without being inside the cloud. This creates a massive imbalance and prevents a significant portion of the player base from progressing or farming efficiently.

Despite being "confirmed" by community observations, the issue remains unfixed in the current state of Path of Exile 2.

Request: Please prioritize a fix for this loot-table interaction. Loot should not be dependent on the player's proximity or positioning relative to a cloud effect, especially when it fundamentally breaks the reward system for entire archetypes (Melee).

Naa its alright. You can easy pull them out if you want. I guess you have to do something for you loot, not like the temple andis.

...aha, thats why i have after 100hours endgame with abyss (0.4)

btw, if u read my posts correctly you would know i do not have temple access with SSF.


Pull them out of Cloud while kiting, LOL really?
another frustrating and unnecessary mechanic. Melee builds are already struggling with the current state of armor; this just adds to the disadvantage melee classes face in this game.

Sorry i can't accept this. I am forced to play a ranged weapon or ranged build, otherwhise my char is excluded from loot?

This makes absolutely no sence, having melee weapons in this game.

Please fix this SHIT and give us access to full loot table regardless if the monster is beeing killed inside or outside of their "damage absorbing cloud"

Every build have to kite them out of the void, is it more clear?

i kite the monster out of the cloud
he is following me, without the cloud
i engange into melee range -> voila his cloud is instant activated again

i find it odd just because i can kill them with melee out of the void so i dont know what to tell...

One or two, yes.

But if the map is juiced up (like 3 more divine worth per map), there can be 6 of them appearing together, and sometime if abysses are spawn too close to each other, you can have almost 20 of them together. If not for the loot, I could kill them even before they appear, but because of this loot mechanism, I have to wait for them to come out, and then it will be extremely difficult to tank more than 5 of them together and I have really good gears.

It is possible but really time consuming. With ranged characters it is much easier.
