so many scrubscore babies making up various reasons lol

gotta love these HC trolls...
Right now i am also in Softcore, but i gotta agree that 1 Week races for example i really enjoy
I play a bit of hardcore and it's enjoyable for what it is, but desync and lack of viable builds without requiring HP nodes up the wazoo make it a lot less fun. Why lose a lvl 70 character that I played for months to a programming error or a problem with the internet connection?
Also, prices are lower in softcore, so I can just get the gems and build what I want without needing bleeding exalts for everything.
And people in general will stop playing hardcore so much since it doesn't offer anything extra ingame. There's no red name and special title like in Diablo 2, there's no higher droprate, nothing. Reason you see so many hardcore players have this elitist attitude is because they have a need to defend their choice. And the less viable or hollow their choice is, the more aggressive they will defend it. Kind of like creationists go absolutely bonkers about their faith these days.

Vote +1 to change Path of Exile to Path of Nerfs.
We hate to say, but ProjectPT was right.

False statement. What fun for you is pain for others and vise versa.
Im currently on HC, lvl 68 Witch, but when i die, i doubt i will reroll a HC toon again soon, it is just because the technical problems of the game (you cant completely and ONLY rely on your skills, build and epic gear, 1 bigger desync and youre dead). There are also game crashes, problems of the nature that you can get killed when zoning in/taking a TP (most stupid thing ever, and having a bit older PC/Laptop like i have makes this pretty common). All in all its a beta, it is understandable. On top of that my ISP changes my IP about 2 times a day, so when it happens when im playing - i can end up in Default. So, as much as some people would love to play HC, it is just not for them to the nature of technical issues/possibilities. And whats with the war between some HC and SC guys? Do we really need to have flame wars on every subject on the internet? Its just a game, get over it. The reason i play HC is because of the thrill, you dont wanna die, you farm for gear upgrades, you skip harder side quest untill you ready for them, then still you can end up dead(merci Hailrake hai! :P).I dont understand some folks on HC that think that theyre some sort of TOP ELITE gamers or such BS, it is a small percentage of the group but still... Like ive said, its just a game, get a life =)
"Hardcore" isn't really that hardcore. Without permanant death it is nothing more than just glorified softcore.

In my case it's only dsync which is keeping me from playing hardcore-league. I don't mind getting smacked because i make a stupid mistake, i do mind it when i am dead and haven't even seen what happened. You can learn from stupid mistakes, you can't learn from a dsync death.

I know right? When I played d2 HC I WAS able to keep my equipped gear when I died by letting a friend loot my corpse. In PoE I just delete everything when put into default.

So more hardcore then d2 HC = glorified softcore. hmmmm

Scrubcore spotted, only a SC player could think a SC char is "alive"
IGN : Anal_ravage
I would play hardcore. But lag/desync decides that my character should die at random points.
Lost a level 54 and a level 61 in the weeklongs through 0 fault of my own.

That's very frustrating.
