GGG has been hyping this "mega expansion" for quite some time, so it's obvious that it will once again have a huge impact in the current game... What do you think they're gonna bring to PoE with 4.0.0? New visual updates? New mechanics? New weapon types... What are your hopes for this upcoming expansion? I sure hope GGG can roll back some (a lot would be very nice) on the power and speed creep of the last 2 to 3 years. Watching the top streamers with their latest uber speed build and the whole screen is a near blur clusterfuck of skill animations and fx that gives me a headache quick is terrible and then some. There is no playing strategy anymore but it's just make a million+ dps build and steam role everything. It's awful. :( "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..." Overhaul of character assets is supposed to be happening. Wouldn't surprise me if they doubled the classes to have both genders for them available. Might just go with new Ascendancies for them and leaving the starting positions and skill tree intact. From the workload aspects, this would be a really big thing. Oh! Topical, saw something on this the other day: " One experiment, conducted by Plymouth University at the Paignton Zoo in Devon, tried to answer this using actual monkeys and actual typewriters. The resulting pages of text produced by Heather, Mistletoe, Gum, Rowan, Holly, and Elmo were less like the works of Shakespeare and more like five pages of random letters. And by “random letters,” we mean that it was mostly the letter “s”.” By the end of the four weeks, they were branching out into a few other letters, like “m,” but it was still a far cry from Shakespeare’s plays. To be fair, it wasn’t quite the infinite amount of time the experiment is said to take, and they were pretty busy with other things during those four weeks. Namely, filling the typewriters with poo. GGG will create a bond between MTX armour packs and boss battle animations. So if you wear a really expensive armour set then the boss animations will be more spectacular. Remember, we are now in the TencentGGG era so anything that can boost mtx sales is on the table of ideas for 4.0. "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
