For all of you who think it´s easy to craft those Crazy Mace
it took me ~ 1.800 fusings to 6-link it with 47% quality
Now after 1.600 Alts und 90 regals im here
am i wrong or is the chance to craft it with +1 socket and maim very very low ?
Do i make something wrong ?
i´m spamming alts and when it hit one of these affixes i augment or regal it
even if i hit one of those affixes i regal it for the chance to hit the other affix
i hit never those two affixes after ~1.600 Alts
am i very unlucky or is it normal ?

its just rng, i made money crafting maces like this, sold about 14 and the average for a successful regal+annul is around every 1.63k alts. also regalled if either mods appeared and yolo slammed.
now the completed mace is cheap so stopped doing it

You'll never catch me trying to craft one of these crazy things. I'd give up by 200 fusings/alts
Don't want to see what comes first - either my finger will fall off or I go crazy.
All this to shave a second or two from a boss kill...shish
About the HOGM- I don't think necros can do it unless they switch to something like traps or other skill proven for HOGM. I tried to do it last league with immortal herald of agony and some toons there had max block and I had to buy reduce block chance gem for damage to get through these guys. Loot is garbage too. Royal PITA

no one is telling you to craft it if you dont want. there are other ways to make money, and dps is not lacking for necros at any rate. after playing for a few days, we have more currency than we can use on the build so we look for enjoyable ways to spend it, and minmaxxing/crafting is one of those ways. to each his own.

try replacing your war banner with dread for more defense because monster will have reduced accuracy
also invest in level 4 empower and level 21 zombie. sell your level 21 spectre if you dnt have enought currency, you dont need a 21 for buffer spectres.
forgot to mention that for spectre, i highly recommend 2 carnage chieftain (act 7 ashen fields) and 2 diabolist for perma enfeeble (act 1 upper prison)

are host chieftain and ruins hellion not good as extra diabolist/carnage?

Don't feel bad. I am up to 3.5k - 4k Alts so far and still no +1 to Socketed Gems and Maim at the same time.
