Which do you prefer?

Really it comes down to preference, I can understandably see anybody liking any of them the most.
After playing each somewhat, I have to say they are pretty much even in my eyes. Path of Exile - Extremely deep, original, dark, atmospheric. The graphics and lightning effects are amazing, the world is enjoyable in a dark fantasy way and the level of customization offered is enough to get lost in for years to come it seems. Also, it's impossible to beat free to play that isn't pay to win. Possible Cons: It's pretty graphics intensive, I can run it, however since my PC has a terrible cooling system, I really have to take frequent breaks. This is purely personal though, most PCs don't have problems with this. If you can't deal with dark, this game won't be for you. In my opinion this is a positive, when I'm playing I actually feel a sense of brooding, a dark presence looming over me. Finally, this game is deep. This is an amazing feature for some, but I have heard of people who feel overwhelmed by it. Honestly, this shouldn't be a con, but I'm just pointing it out. I really don't feel like writing that much on the others to be honest, but they all have their good points and bad, if you can spare the time and afford it, I suggest trying all three out, if you must pick one, then go for Path of Exile, why? Cause I'm on their forums that's why! I like you already.
No, not you, the other one. |

From my POV:
POE-Free Pros- The best in-game economy and potion system of any game, bar none. Active, alert, in-touch development team. Cons- High learning curve, server reliant. D3-$60 Pros- Escalating difficulty, polished gameplay. Cons- Unresponsive devs, horrible server problems, game-breaking bugs, possible hacking issues. TL2-$20 Pros- All the things D2 did right, pets, moddable, does not require internet connection, can host LAN games. Cons- Some of the issues D2 had appear to be still present, not actually out yet. Back in black
I hit the sack I've been too long I'm glad to be back |

I'm just downloading the beta PoE now. Have been playing Diablo 3 consistently since launch (umm perhaps consistently isn't the right word...) but am a bit underwhelmed. Looking for the darker D2 vibe - a vibe it looks as if PoE gets right
What's the matter Dylan? Government got you pushing too many pencils?

Well I am utterly convinced that the Path of exile community forum page will be COMPLETELY unbiased on this debate.
Still it is a good question. The problem is a lot of factors are subjective. The cost of the game matters to some, while others care about the learning curve, or general feel. Shrug? Última edição por One_Not_To_Be_Trifled_with#5165 em 28 de mai. de 2012 14:42:08

I probably gonna say POE/TL2 (50/50). You know, when I tried TL2 beta, I felt really good. Good animations, good enviroment, heard that the game will be long and it's cheap. Otherwise, POE is also a good-looking game. Well I prefer POE for now, cuz it's free. :) THey both are good, about D3 - other story. Overpriced, server reliant, heard about bad auction house. Well Now you just must make your choice, but I recommend you to stay here :)

D3 and TL2 will have a demo.
PoE will be completely free. Try them all and find out for yourself which one suits you best. They are all good ARPG's. Anything else is a matter of preference. |

TL2 is great but it has no persistent multiplayer.

TL2 and PoE will be my ARPG's of choice for quite awhile. Grim Dawn as well, once it is out.
Reimur: even though you're wrong, why would you have faith in diamond supporters? you're talking about a group of people that are so autistic that they would spend 1000 dollars on pixels. we're almost the most idiotic group of people in this community. second to hardcore players.
