Honestly I thought Discharge would be WAY better but it's not cutting it for me either. Leveling Flameblast and it already seems much better. Updated the main post with some more information on leveling this build.


Strange, I'm able to 1 shoot totems with 6 end charges and proccing EE before discharge.

Really curious about this build, have I read it right, that DoT nodes increases damage DONE but not damage on yourself?

correct but inner force and holy strength do hurt you so stay away from those nodes

Thanks. One last question I have to you is, how would you optimize this tree? (Yes, I'm the idiot who just -had- to be an old man). Would it be viable to respec out of the 6 nodes i take to get to the templar health cluster, opting out of the area/radius nodes, and instead grabbing the triple burning damage cluster faster, and then taking a single useless melee damage node from Templar start and 2 strength nodes to connect back into my current tree? Thanks again for responding.

Play style is pretty the same as described above. I use Freeze Pulse to trigger Elemental Equilibrium and burn everything with RF. Fire res is overcapped, so ele weakness isn't a problem.
For dealing with -max res, 50%/no regen and Vulnerability mods on maps I use

instead of Phoenix, also I use it on 77 Shrine Piety. DPS isn't at best, but still enough to clear maps, especially in group. Fire Trap/Freeze Pulse combo works pretty nice. Also I have Static Blows passive and Added Lightning linked to FP, which helps me to kill things even faster.
I have only 1 quality Increased AoE gem which I swap between Redbeak and Doon in RF/non-RF scenarios. Currently it's linked to RF in Redbeak.

Thought I should point out that if you self cast your curse, Flammability is better.

-Assuming your Flammability is lvl 20, it beats Vulnerability when the mob has over 25% Fire resistance. And that's also assuming that you have no other multipliers on RF...just the 1.4 from Vuln. Pretty sure that means that with other increased damage sources on RF, that the +40% increased from Vuln is even less effective that Flammability.

Did some more math...
With my 379 increase damage on Righteous Fire...a mob would need -500% To fire before Vulnerability was better than Flammability.

Again for my stats...
not sure what resists mobs/bosses naturally have, but a 0% Fire res mob takes 122% more damage with Flam over Vuln...and a 75% to fire mob takes 153# more damage with Flam!

Anyone have some experience with a culling/IIR setup for a RF build? I have a 5-L Lightining Coil Unique chest to play around with, and I tried with leap slam and frenzy - just seems very hard to time, frenzy being the easier one of thoes two.

Any suggestions?

RF counts as buff. with Inner Force, it does way more damage to your character.

Culling strike and IIR/IIQ gems don't affect RF in any way. IIR/IIQ from from gear work as usual.
