Why have you stopped playing?

didnt completly gave up (only the financial support for sure lol), but just log in here an there for an hour or so after getting frustrated due to crap loot again (which usualy occurs after 3-4 maps lol) ... after a bosskill with 100 mf and not a single yellow item drop .. pretty much makes me alt f4 and just play anything else in my steam library
hope there will be another game like diablo 2, skyrim or poe (before i hit lvl 75 on the first char ofc) that catches me this intensive ..

... getting close to 500h now and still no exalted orb drop or an item worth more than 25c
pretty much got sick of searching for a dustparticle in a haystack .. was working towards an aegis aurora and didnt reach the currency to be able to buy one lol how bad luck can you have in this amount of time .. legacy aegis pretty much sealed the deal to make me give up anything that i once wanted to achieve in that game
sad story man .. the game itself would be crazy awesome without this shit droprates

if that damn company named blizzard would have just continued to support diablo 2 and not make that arcade console game they call diablo 3 id probably still would play diablo 2 .. never got demotivated there and had muleS filled with high runes and stuff

a weekend on d2 with mindnumbing meph, pindle, countess or whatnot grind was actualy very rewarding in terms of loot .. so i just endlessly kept doing that like a zombie for 7 years lol

in poe a weekend filled with mindnumbin piety splitruns with a culler with 350mf and whatnot quantity just rewards you with about 20c and a few stacks alt and nothing worth keeping .. just maybe a few 1-2c rares that you will never trade away.. and no id scrolls left lol .. ill pass on that

the incredible adventures of vanhelsing is a good buy (it is basically single player only but it has perfect loot tables)

grim dawn will be out ... some time this century

diablo 3 (IF you already own it ) is actually quite enjoyable with the loot system.

diablo 2 is still an option.

diablo 1 is also pretty awesome.


But to be honest, poe burns you as a player out so much that it really is difficult to play any arpg after suffering a stint of path of exile.


Honestly id go play a different genre, like a full on rpg (witcher , elder scrolls ... or one of the many very promising offerings comming later this year ( this will be a grand few years for rpg fans )).


Hell , you know what i game i picked up right after burning out of poe over the weekend...

Seven days to die.... yeah now you KNOW something be going horribly wrong ( then again it is a pretty awesome concept) (minecraft , but teh zombies are actually a threat , who would have thought eh?)

I have been waiting for a way to gain experience as a high level character that isn't pay to play and pray you can keep playing, system.

Game is amazing all the way up until the point that you character cannot gain experience anymore without spending tons of currency then relying on luck to continue.

Perhaps someday they will release some high level zones where high level charc can earn XP, then I will return.

I stopped playing around March, or maybe April, last year. I don't remember why. I think I got tired and just did. Came back after I heard it was being released on Steam, so I naturally started playing again.

T stopped playing because:
1. The trade system is inefficient. It took me weeks to sell items worth 50+ exas.
2. The map system is decent but because of trading inefficiency, I couldn't buy the maps I need and sell the maps I farmed for profit.
3. The death penalty is too hard at high level (95).
4. I saw PVP as the real end game. It is the place where I spent all of my currency earned on a single character. But sadly, PVP is broke and largely depend on RNG.
Like many others, I took a lot of breaks but managed to come back at the end. But I am not sure about this time.

I don't like playing one game for too long,I was playing PoE since October.I had good time,got my first unique that was worth over an exalt in last day before Ambush began(got close to perfect roll Daresso's Defiance),then realized I don't enjoy playing PoE anymore,it became farmfest for me.So now I am giving away my race rewards to my guildmates,and saying farewell.

Dark souls 2

Clunky run creation system. GGG enforces party play but the system itself it's really bad designed AKA end game content gated behind RNG ( maps ), currency sink is itself based on rolling the maps, got maps but with horrible mods + no currency + can't reroll = can't play my own maps, can't play the GAME-

Difficulty on making parties and not suffer any kind of stupid time wasting event, like charging fees and shit like that. I spend more time waiting,staring at the screen, AFK'ing and doing other things that are not actually playing the endgame content. At level 91 I can't play lower maps than 74 but the systems forces you to do so. More time wasting.

I am simply bored because the game won't let me go further to achieve my challenges. I could do it, but I would be wasting tons of time just getting really bored. At this point I like the game but I hate NOT PLAYING IT and that huge boredom invading me while trying to play maps. Mix that with some stupid OP discharger or flicker build pooping all over the party and you are done.

So I am currently looking for other games in the market ( I was waiting for POE so crazy that I dismissed playing anything else, Diablo 2 veteran here )


And will be checking the new patches and see what is coming up over time. If I see exceptional changes to the issues that a ton of people is complaining about, including me I will of course play again. I am good with the extreme grind, with the high difiiculty and possibility of dying in every corner, I find all that really challenging. But time wasting is a result of bad design and it must be fixed !

I hope the next patches bring good changes and fix these issues instead of trying to add more content that right now it doesn't matter to me as much as pulling a really good system that is really playable and sucks you in like diablo 2 did. If GGG doesn't change this, I guess lots of poeple will do the same I'm doing cause the game just sinks you in to boredom this way.

I sitll play but the desync and other game issues that just wont get resolved, really grinds my gears, and im getting tired of spamming trade chat for trade.
