How is having loot that flags itself as MINE, stay MINE...being "spoon fed"?
How is allowing a ninja to steal items "hardcore"?
Some of you people need to carefully remove your heads from your asses and inspect the bigger picture.
I'll make it clear for you: If a game actively discourages grouping, that game fails as a multiplayer game. Simple and to the point.
PoE is a single player game with a chat-room right now. A really great single player game with a chat-room, but its still a single player game with a chat room. The game is ultimately doomed to failure if it does nothing to improve the system of picking up loot when grouped with other players.
Do I want D3 instanced loot? No, I don't, fuck D3. But if an item drops during a group, and it flags ITSELF as "mine", and someone else takes it, that item has been stolen. I don't see what the big deal is in making items that flag as "mine" remain "mine".
1. The loot is not yours. And by having loot given to you, like a child being given food on a spoon, it is like being spoon fed. Kinda thought that one was easy.
2. The loot is not yours. And by this logic, there is no such thing as a ninja in PoE.
3. I want proof of this statment.
4. Wahh.
1: Really? Why does the game put a 1 second timer and my name on it then?
2: See #1.
3: I didn't have a 3rd listed statement...so what are you talking about? You want proof that a game that doesn't do grouping well will fail as a game? How about SW:TOR? Grouping in that game was terrible...the game is a major failure. Multiplayer games with bad multiplayer don't usually do well in the long run.
4: Wahh yourself jackass

Looting is fine. If you party with someone who ninjas your stuff tell them to knock it off or don't party with them anymore. I don't see how this is a problem.
Hey buddy! Funny story: I tried this today and had 2 people tell me, and i quote: Shoulda been faster on your loot, dumbass.
I was, you see, my tiny inventory that has less space than the D2 inventory didn't have room, and in the time it took to shuffle one of the white items I couldn't filter out, some asshole ran by, picked it up, and refused to give it back when I asked, nicely.
It doesn't help that I'm playing a minion/ranged character and already have to scramble into the fray to get loot while some piece of human garbage is just picking up things and not contributing.
A) Don't let your inventory get full, they make Portal scrolls and stash tabs for this.
B) You should have been faster and better prepared. (I will leave out the "dumbass" because it is rude"
C) So play a different toon, not our fault you chose to put yourself in that position.

Wait so Diablo 2 with the same loot system failed because of ninjas...makes sense, how well did that game do again?
Something like 90% of players did not group with others (myself included actually) because of FFA loot. Your argument = invalid.
LOL so let me get this straight because it had ffa and no one partied it only lasted 10 years because of a fluke? Answer this why do people call diablo 3 a failure answer because it was not like diablo 2 hence why you are here playing this game stop trying to make this YOUR perfect game I trust GGG alot more.

1. You still have to fight for loot. Fighting your party-members for loot is not the point of a party.
2. We already had this: If you take away an item that had my name on it. I call you Ninja. I can also call you a-hole or inconsiderate bastard if you prefer.
3. We cant give you proof of the facts we state. Neither can you.
4. Stick to arguments please.

If you can simply make people "quit being selfish", this argument would not exist right now. This is why I said before, you live in a cave. This is not how the world works, especially when everyone's behind a computer screen.
Every arguement you have put forth has had an insult towards someone. Bullying on the internet is not going to get your way, and it also makes you look...special.

I don't live in a cave. I roam freely, because I'm not scared of possibly losing items in a pub party.
You can pickup whatever you want. All you have to do is click on it. Pick up too much stuff, and you may lose something you wanted.

Honestly, your "arguments" are not insult-free either. I had several interesting, stimulating and enlightening conversions with several people on YOUR side of the fence in your thread. But you keep baffling me.

1) The devs have covered this argue with them.
2) See #1.
3) That is nowhere near remotely the same game. Let's look at one that is...D2! Now how did that do without people grouping all the time? Oh yea, let me go buy another copy 10 years after release of the shelf to remind myself how bad it did...
4) I Wahh better then you.

Only a thief would argue against someone puting locks on their front door.
And as earlier mentioned, if this thievery is going to be sanctioned by the devs atleast let us kill the thiefs..
Furthermore, i consider that the loot-system must be changed.
