"This loot system is flawed and needs to change!!"

This has been a very interesting read.

If players don't adapt to how the game is designed, they should find something else to play.
So some people who enjoy the game & like playing it should have their opinions ignored? What I see are some people trying to make the game more enjoyable for them rather than quitting. There will always be others that don't agree, that's life.

If a game doesn't adapt to it's player base it becomes a distant memory quickly. If the devs want the game to be closed off & cater for a small amount of people. Compared to the amount of players it could have, that's their choice. But that's like saying GGG didn't make the game to make money. They did it for the love of a game. But then why do they want people spending money on the game other than to make money.

What amuses me the most is that most of the complaints come from players new to the game. Those who have Supported or Donated (LOL) to the game are defending it & don't really want anything changed. Why this amuses me is that either the game gets to have only a small player base compared to what it could have. Or they could start loosing players that have payed to play.

Fail or Sellout. LOL

Everything is mine mine mine.

Pick up what you need. Leave the rest. You should already know what you're looking for. Pick it up and look at it later. You don't need everything. Quit being selfish.

If you can simply make people "quit being selfish", this argument would not exist right now. This is why I said before, you live in a cave. This is not how the world works, especially when everyone's behind a computer screen.

Every arguement you have put forth has had an insult towards someone. Bullying on the internet is not going to get your way, and it also makes you look...special.

I only insult those who insult me. And "living in a cave" is not an insult, it's an analogy. If you find that insulting, well then you're too sensitive. You FFA people have been doing all the insulting up to now, so I really don't know why you're complaining.

1. The loot is not yours. And by having loot given to you, like a child being given food on a spoon, it is like being spoon fed. Kinda thought that one was easy.

2. The loot is not yours. And by this logic, there is no such thing as a ninja in PoE.

3. I want proof of this statment.

4. Wahh.

1. You still have to fight for loot. Fighting your party-members for loot is not the point of a party.

2. We already had this: If you take away an item that had my name on it. I call you Ninja. I can also call you a-hole or inconsiderate bastard if you prefer.

3. We cant give you proof of the facts we state. Neither can you.

4. Stick to arguments please.

1) Sounds like you need to update your definition of party to that of the devs.

2) That is fine, we will just continue to call you slow.

3) Facts have proof.

4) No.

Something like 90% of players did not group with others (myself included actually) because of FFA loot. Your argument = invalid.

LOL so let me get this straight because it had ffa and no one partied it only lasted 10 years because of a fluke? Answer this why do people call diablo 3 a failure answer because it was not like diablo 2 hence why you are here playing this game stop trying to make this YOUR perfect game I trust GGG alot more.

Define "lasted"? D2 "lasted" 10 years because it had a small dedicated playerbase and a good itemization system as well as being a fucking cool game to play. I don't feel D2 actually "lasted" 10 years...5 years ago nobody was talking or playing D2 except a small number of really hardcore players. D2 "died" to mainstream players many many years ago. I'd put time of death around 1-2 years post expansion.

However, traditional "grouping" died out in the first few months of release and never returned, mostly due to FFA loot. People don't want others taking their stuff, so they would solo, same situation in PoE right now.

People call D3 a failure because it has a terrible itemization system. Playing for hours just to upgrade your +200 Dex shoulder pads with +210 Dex shoulder pads is boring. THATS why D3 is bad. If D3 had PoE's skill tree and itemization system, it could very well be the perfect ARPG...but who cares, fuck Jay Wilson.

I'm not trying to make it my "perfect game", however I AM trying to take a game I really enjoy...and improve on it.

Only a thief would argue against someone puting locks on their front door.

And as earlier mentioned, if this thievery is going to be sanctioned by the devs atleast let us kill the thiefs..

I cannot steal something from you that you do not own.
How come the markets will flood when everybodys getting that loot anyway, its just that ninjas pick up more and slower / fairer players pick up less. Its the same quantity that would be shared with a different loot option.

Im for options. Options are never bad. Basis of this game is to have options, considering playstyles, builds, itemizing. Why is this option so wrong then ?

1) How about wikipedia instead: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Party_%28role-playing_games%29

2) I don't object to being called slow, you shouldn't object to be called ninja.

3) When you respond with "No" to the request to provide arguments your 3) is invalid.

You must have heard the echo from your cave because you could just as well be replying to any of your own posts with that statement.

You're either calling people "D3 noobies" or raising "strawmen" or "No true Scotsman" arguments.

1. D3 noobies argument; implying that changing a loot system slightly or even yielding to the possibility of options in that matter means that the game will intantly become a radically different game.
2. Anyone opposing you just wants the game to be easier (See 1.).
3. You repeatedly say "Fans of the game" or "Supporters" even though plenty of those "in favor" of a more party centric loot system, or options for it are supporters amd are basically invalidating everyone elses position as a "fan" of the game.

The problem is that everyone is picking everything up and giving little concern for anyone else.
Thus decreasing any incentive to party up with anyone to near zero unless you group with friends.

There is no way to ninja or steal in this game.
Add a party option. Problem Solved.

Seriously it's that simple. In fact add 3 options.

1. FFA CUTTHROAT! NO TIMER. IT DROPS YOU GRAB GL!
2. Timer. Leave it exactly as it is.
3. Your Drops are Your Drops. If someone wants it you can CTRL click to unlock that loot on the ground. or make them pick it up and redrop it to unlock it.

There is literally NO arguement against this option besides this one.

I WANT YOU TO PLAY "MY" GAME THE WAY I "WANT" YOU TO PLAY IT!

Well, guess what. Fuck you. Everyone loves this game. It's Amazing, and it deserves a flourishing population of people new generation gamers and old generation gamers.

This game deserves to be played, now, and for years to come.

That WILL happen with or without this change, but it will absolutely not flourish to the potential it could and deserves to without this change.

I don't care how much you donated, I care how many years you played D2, I don't care how Pro/Hardcore/Anti-Carebear you are. That is YOUR problem. You shouldn't dictate how what seems to be a very large population of players want to enjoy themselves.

Get over it.

Make the change GGG, it's what is best for the game and what is best for the community.
