[3.0] NeverSink's ♣ INDEPTH Tornado&Archer Guide ♣ Beginner friendly ♣ Rapid clear ♣ All bosses
" This is what I've been using as well. Main downside is that you can't run a CWDT or other support gem set-up. I took Vaal Pact, so I'm running Warlord's instead for Endu Charges and more leech. It's super easy to build up your "x" frenzy charges from 0, and once you build them, you're cursing every pack to maintain the full stacks. I'm really enjoying the synergy. " It really depends not just on gear, but on skills too. Are you using TS or LA? Drillneck or not? These choices will impact the better paths. " I'm about to switch to Pathfinder, though I also primarily run Lightning Arrow instead of TS. Pack kill-speed is insane. TS is good, LA is way better, IMO. Far Shot is one of the most powerful 2-points skills available for Rangers, if not the most powerful. Problem is, outside of that, Deadeye doesn't offer a whole lot for Drillneck. PP seems good, but with Drillneck + Gem + Passives, you're already going to be at 100% pierce chance, rendering the first half useless. The increased crit chance is certainly a nice boost, and worth taking if you're running Drillneck in that tree. I think Endless Munitions would be good only if you have a +1 arrow corrupted Drillneck. With two addition arrows, you could run LMP in place of GMP, or even drop both for something that otherwise boosts damage even more. Ultimately, I think Pathfinder will be best. As stated in the guide, Veteran Bowyer is very, very strong for 2 points. Elemental penetration is great, considering almost everything has elemental resistances at end-game. 10% of physical as a random element is also very nice, considering how much physical we stack. It's like a slightly less powerful Herald of Ash included with penetration for only 2 points. Master Surgeon is very strong for the flask-heavy supported build, and Master Alchemist tree is also pretty good if you're lazy about keeping your flasks in use. I think Raider is too reliant upon "kill" status and it won't be very useful against the tougher bosses in the game. Deadeye is decent, but I think ultimately not as well suited for Drillneck. " I think Master Surgeon is most effective against bosses, when keeping flasks active can be the difference between success and death. 90% of the Ascendancy skills are overkill against general mapping and trash mobs. Can come in handy a bit at high-tier maps, but the hardest content in the game always seems to be those difficult bosses. Keeping flasks active in the situation can be amazingly powerful. Flask management is definitely annoying, and if you're just mapping without bosses, it might not be as effective. Keeping fire flasks active against Atziri. Diamond/Granite/Basalt/Etc buffed for defense and damage is incredibly powerful. |

Why is CONC text green in the blast rain skill/gem link image when it's a blue skill?(I am assuming conc means concentrated effect). Thanks for a great guide!

I am thinking of using the augmented tree with Vaal pact with tornado shot.
If I do that won't I need physical damage and the PtL+WeD be counterproductive? Also with the augmented version tree which ascendancy talents should I use with/without drillneck? Isn't piercing in general counterproductive for deadeye's chain? Thank you for the most in-depth guide in PoE! |

What is the optimum way of leveling as Ranger? Do we just use bows from level one? What skills are the best for leveling?
"Im just Path of Exile-ing my way through college."

" PTL converts up to 29% of your Physical damage as extra Lightning damage. It also converts 50% of your current Physical damage to Lightning. Both of those conversions apply from your base Physical damage, after all passives are accounted for. All physical damage boosts just make PTL stronger. Then, because you've boosted and converted so much of the physical damage to lightning, weapon elemental damage is further enhancing that PTL conversion, PLUS any other elemental damage going to your weapon (Hatred, HoA, etc). " If you have the currency, use Quill Rain starting at level 5 and or Storm Cloud at level 9. These should hold you over for a while. At 32 you can swap to Death's Harp, which should pretty much carry you until you can use a Rare Harbinger/Lioneye's/Voltaxic or whatever your plan is. Ice Shot is usually a pretty solid gem to start with. Decent for both ST and AoE. When you hit 28, Tornado Shot is great of course, and once you can do TS + Death's Harp, you can fly through the content. Última edição por nEgativezEro89#1596 em 15 de mar. de 2016 22:59:31

" Yes, I understand that, but that was not what I asked at all :/ -Since PtL converts 50% of the damage to lightning, isn't it counter-productive for life leech and for the "augmented tree" that uses vaal pact? -Also which asc class is better for the augmented tree with the Vaal pact in case I have/don't have a drillneck? |
|
" The new dualist-leechnodes (augmented-tree) are leeching from ANY damage, not only physical. Drillneck is not needed for any asc-class. |
