I'm going to multicraft my bow, which one is better as suffix, atk speed or crit chance?

Unless you have a 6L chest I would not mastercraft it at all. I would buy 6 x Bowyer's Dream, roll until you hit merciless again on your 6L and craft from there (remember Haku can remove shitty suffixes).

Thanks for advice, will do it this way.

If you go for Drillneck you want 100% pierce chance. But projectiles that pierce can't chain so the +1 chain passive would be wasted.

Hey,

today i just found this one

(ilvl 71)

Not sure if to craft it (I am not very luck at crafting) or to sell it?

Not good for a phys build. Good for +2/+1 caustic arrow builds.

Hey there Frankenberry! As you are on the topic regarding crafted bows, I myself have a question!
I managed to get my hands on 6x Boywer's Dream and rolled a Tyrannical, got 2 shitty suffixes though but I will stick with the bow untill I have currency enought to reroll it. What I wonder is if (as you mentioned Haku craft) the procedure is as following:

1a. Transmute - Alt -> If I hit a Merciless, Flaring or Emperors, master craft some shit suffix, then Regal.

1b. Transmute - Alt - Aug -> If I hit something like Global Crit or high Attack speed, Aug to see if second stat becomes either Merciless, Flaring or Emperors and Regal.

2. I now have a rare bow with at least one of the following: Emperors, Flaring or Merciless. I also have two (1 might be a shit mastercraft from 1a.) other mods, usefull or not. From here I see two options.

2a. If I am happy with the mod I regaled (and the possible suffix the magic bow received), I scour the master craft from 1a. if that was used, and I finally add Multi Mod, boom!

2b. If I receive suffix/es that I do not want, I can then craft "Prefixes cannot be changed" and scour the bow. Then I craft multimod and add whatever I want?

2c. If I regaled a bow that had Flaring but didnt receive a 100+%-phys or high hybrid roll, I scour and go back to point 1.

Im mostly unsure about 2b. I am not sure if it is possible to craft "Prefixes cannot be changed" and then scour without loosing my valuable prefixes?

I hope the post was clear enought :) Thanks a lot for your contributions in this thread and for shedding light regarding the build!

1a. Regal makes a magic item rare and adds one mod. Could be prefix OR suffix. Master Crafting anything will have no effect on what the Regal adds (aside from not rolling what you crafted).

1b. Yes, but if you get Flaring/Merciless (or even Tyrannical), Regal from 1 mod if it rolled only that. You have a chance to roll another prefix, which allows you to master craft both Crit Chance AND Attack Speed. You could, if you win the lottery, Alt and get Merciless by itself, then Regal and get Flaring. Will never realistically happen, but it could.

2a. Again, don't bother with adding any crafted spots.

2b. Assuming you have 2 good prefixes, yes. I believe if you only 1 have prefix and you use Haku's mod, it will revert back to a magic item (not a 1-stat rare).

2c. Yep. Flaring is nice, but we can't craft hybrid dmg/acc anymore, so crafting just phys% doesn't add enough damage. Merciles/Tyrannical and master crafting flat physical is solid enough.

Back to 2b. Yes, if you craft Prefixes Cannot Be Changed, and then scour the item directly (not remove mods via crafting bench), it will delete suffixes, and only keep what you had as prefixes.
Thank you for quick answer! So what I conclude is the following:

1. If I have a rare bow and only 1 prefix, crafting "Prefixes cannot be changed" and scour is a bad idea.

2. If my magic bow has, for example, only one mod which is Merciless, I can master craft a shitty suffix (like cold resi) before I regal to increase my chances of a better regal'd mod. It will also increase my chances to receive a prefix when regaling, which will allow me to get both attack speed AND global crit from Master mod.

Cheers :) Can't wait to reroll my bow! Its currently 167 %, 14 cold resi, 30 proj speed and 15-27 flat phys :)

That's what I'm wondering about as well. In this thread

https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1644229

I got the answer that scouring after using the Haku mod will keep the item rare even with only one prefix. So I would really like to know how it works (even though spending 2 Exalted is probably not worth it for a rare with only the Tyrannical/Merciless mod).
