Quill Rain + Elemental Hit build Advice
" Well yeah. That's why people suggested for example the Templar, who has a ton of Weapon Elemental Damage :P The Templar can also noticably reduce the Mana cost through passives. 44 points gets you 80% Inc. WED, 31% Inc. Elemental Damage, 44% Reduced Mana Cost (1% per passive point, coincidentally), decent Life, and a bunch of Resists. That nearly halves the Mana consumption with any given setup, and you have plenty damage-boosting passives. The build passes by Dex and Life nodes, and is close to Resolute Technique (which leads right past Elemental Adaptation too). Static Blows is a bit of a hike, but 20% Chance to Shock is tasty. Also leads past Divine Toughness and IF. If you want to go the Crit route, a Ranger or Shadow would be more fitting. Última edição por Vipermagi#0984 em 26 de mar. de 2013 12:06:04

I had this build and it was working well quill rain doesnt decrease the elemental hits dmg only dowside your elemental hit cost like 74 mana per shot minimum with (wep ele+fast att+lmp+life leech) even with my templars 200hp regen persec couldnt handle the mana consumption with 5 att per second.
So u have to need the life leech and u could kill yourself while shooting blanks. It has decent dmg and has a good role with static blows in group u can shock mobs pretty quick with %25 chance shock and 5 as. I can link my build if u want quill rain perfect for elemental hit. " Quill Rain has a Weapon Damage penalty; Elemental Hit's damage bonus is Weapon Damage. |

Yeah, I have yet to make a crit based character, so I was interested in that. Looking at passives... hard to decide between Ranger and Shadow.
Trying to figure out something using about 100 pts. Última edição por PhreEkGarden#7624 em 26 de mar. de 2013 12:06:43

" Elemental proliferation would be my choice for the final gem. That or crit damage. Would try them both. In Wraeclast, if someone tries to kill you... you just kill them right back.

There is 115 pts I put together just now. I just don't know what to change to get it to more like 100 pts. I don't see a way of getting the templar area 50% weapon ele dmg, while still getting a lot of crit chance / crit multiplier. It's just hard to know if the build above would do enough damage. I have 2 awesome quil rain builds that both work very well. I walked through to lvl 50+ and had so much fun I decided to make another and do it again but with different pathing.
To start elemental hit is not my main attack. Instead I have ele hit on my ranged totem.therefore I have no cost to continue using it. My main AOE is split arrow and it is very effective. Dispatching groups very quickly. Templar is the starting point for quillrain and in my case I made both my templars different. One routes through marauder for life/resist, than continued to duelist for more life regen/resist/attack speed, than went to the ranger for even more life/dmg/mov speed/aspeed. My other one went up to the witch tree and got her 3 ele dmg/resist nodes/crit. If you wanna see the builds in action I will gladly show you and send my trees. Also id like to note that I dont even have godly gear. |

" Yes I am interested in the builds or seeing it action. How do you use Split Arrow as your main with Quill Rain? It has no physical damage. Just from +ele dmg's and weapon ele dmg I guess? Doesn't seem like that would be as effective? I don't know. Última edição por PhreEkGarden#7624 em 26 de mar. de 2013 12:47:18

" So does the Weapon Elemental Damage support skill apply directly to Elemental Hit skills damage? Edit: Just read another thread about that.. I think it does, right? Última edição por PhreEkGarden#7624 em 26 de mar. de 2013 13:06:11
