Quill Rain + Elemental Hit build Advice

There's no point to a build like this unless you just like seeing fast attacks. You're going to do just as much DPS as you would with a regular old short bow, except you'll be burning twice as much mana.

Seeing fast attacks is awesome though! :D

This is why I'm trying to base my build around high crit chance / crit dmg. Not that I'm calculating anything but there has to be some benefit to that right? Firing that fast with really high crit would pretty much mean continuous crit effects.

I don't know... either way, it's just fun to try to do.

It's pretty much the fun of playing in softcore, imo. Just to do crazy builds like this and see if they can work.

If I wanted to make a cookie cutter build and just see how far I can go in the game I'd do that on my hardcore characters.

Go for it then. There was a thread a while back about a guy that made a build with the sole purpose of getting his attack speed as high as possible, and he ended up with something like 12 attacks per second.

As for crit chance, you have to keep in mind that the crits have to do enough damage in order to proc the effect, but if you're above the minimum threshold, then yes you will repeatedly freeze and shock enemies.

this is the best i got for your idea. mana issues though :/

I dunno why you'd want to be using elemental hit and not elemental equalibrium. It pretty much makes the skill.

Im going to incorporate EE. I still havent posted build but I will later

Edit: Wait, why would I use EE... lol? I will be hitting with every element, on every hit.

Good proj speed roll, but for quill rain the itemlevel is the most important. Needs to be ilvl 50+ for 6 sockets.

The huge problem I'm seeing right now, is that I don't know if life leech will be enough to sustain the cost of my attack with blood magic. It's going to eventually be like 200 life per shot, lol. Although, I can run with 3-4 life potions and just use them as needed since I won't really be using mana except to throw out a curse, etc.

If it doesn't end up working out, I'm just going to end up remaking an explosive arrow build. :D I just love using the quill rain.
