Hard crashing PC locks up
What is really concerning is that they removed the issue from the know bugs, it looks like from their perspective "it's fixed!"
I'll maybe check if they fix this problem by the time this game enters 1.0 Although I have so little hope, maybe they will never fix this.... I don't live within 30 euros. fuck that. It's just really disappointing....and sad |

Issue is still ongoing. While I can actually join the occasional map (before I would never get past log in screen), I now crash when visiting new locations.

" Are we talking about "crashes" (a total other topic) or freezes of the whole PC (this topic)? |

Hello guys,
I developed a proof of concept to try mitigate this problem. The main idea is to select the process that you want and set a CPU limit to it. If the process reachs that CPU limit it will kill the app. I've being using since i finished develop it, didn't had to hard reboot. It wont make your game smooth, or crash proof, but at least I hope it does the same that did to me, avoid needing to hard reboot. It's not beautiful, you have to select your process everytime, but I wanted to test it as quickly as possible and publish to help another ones which are facing the same problem as I'm. Let me know if you have any problem, if helped or not till the problem is fixed. https://github.com/dev-vinicius-andrade/cpu-process-monitor/releases/tag/0.0.1 |

the issue is still ongoing, what is concerning they removed it from "known bugs".
what is happening to me: - guaranteed hard crash on Doryani (both campaign and citadel version, only boss arena) and Crypt map if there is a Delirium - moderate chance for hard crash on Seepage - very small chance on Blooming Fields or Slick - extremely low chance for crash in Trial of Sekhemas (happened one time so far) drivers, bios etc. everything updated, happened to me on 23H2 too when the crash occurs PC is locked up and i have to restart it manually. I doubt it's the PC fault because everything is brand new, I've run couple of benchmarks and tortured it in other demanding titles, nothing like this ever happens, crashes are very specific as well if anyone has some suggestions i'm willing to listen/try some things because while game is clearly unstable maybe there is problem on my part |

" My suggestion would be to not play and monitor this threads, it's what I've been doing. I'm on the same boat as you, brand new powerful pc, works flawlessly on other titles at max, no problem save for POE2 (and also POE1!!). If you can't beat the urge of playing, there's an app on Github (so it's open source and community can check if it's suspicious or not) called POE Uncrasher that you can run before playing the game and changes the problem from full freeze, to just crash. No more pc getting clogged and no more manual, power button restart. I haven't used it, but you might want to check that out. |

bump
Still same problem after patch. Please GGG, don't put serious issues as fixed when people are still experiencing the exact same bug and what was released was labeled a "potential" fix before release. Please give us a --disable-multithread-on-load launch option so that everyone can play what is a really good game otherwise. |

Worked fine for about 4 hours, and then it hit while loading into a map.
All caught up on Windows Updates and Nvidia drivers as of today, hours before the crash. When it crashes completely, the mouse move so slowly across the screen, jumping around every few seconds rather than smoothly moving. Then it finally completely freezes, leaving me no option but to restart. This is definitely not fixed.
