POE 2 Hard Freeze / Crashing

I'm having the same issue, managed to contain it somewhat with process lasso, but this issue is completely unacceptable!
GGG can we get an official info on this matter?

win11 24H2 latest updates
5800X3D 32GB RAM
RTX 4080
nothing overclocked, cracked etc or anything

At the launch i was running win11 23H2 and had zero crashes, but due to spare time with the christmas holidays though it's a good idea to refresh my system completely and now i really regret it...

Uninstall KB5048667 W11 update.

game freezes when i start corruption. Happend 2 of the last 3 map with corruption. Cleared all of the map before activate the hand and then the game freezes!

I don't want to downgrade, disable, uninstall updates or even revert back to 23h2 as this is the only game that has a problem. Heck, even my fave AC game Origins was updated yesterday to fix the issue for the newest Win 11 update.

Imagine an 8 year old game managed to have a fix.

I have no time to fetch a temporary fix only to find out that there is still a CHANCE that my PC would crash. Thank you for sharing those fixes though.

That being said, the essence of my post is to give awareness to the Devs that this needs a proper patch ASAP

I actually found a fix, just when you go to a area just press windows+d, wait a minute then get back in, and if by chance your game freeze and you can't do anything just press shift+f5, computer will auto restart.

Loading freezes PC, I can set affinity to deactivate CPU cores so I can at least force close PoE 2 without choking my PC to death. Recently though, I have barely been able to load into the game at all without the PC freezing crash. Sometimes i'm able to make it in but as soon as I switch zones, PC freezes. Honestly so frustrating, I have given up playing completely until its fixed. I was loving the game so much too! PLEASE FIX PC FREEZES I WANNA PLAY AGAIN

This issue has been going on ever since the game was launched. It has been 50 days now. As GGG's paying customers GGG should have been communicating with us, but they are not.

Do not continue playing the game while you are having these crashes Steam and here have multiple reports where people have bricked their PCs due to this hard crash.

The fix is this:
As long as GGG is not interested in open communication our only other option is to increase the pressure and warn others by giving a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam in a detailed and informative manner.

In the last days started to freeze/crash a lot, didn't had those issues before, also didn't do any windows update. So this must be related to those patches you added, they had the opposite effect, instead of fixing something, made it even worse.

Reminder to use the "--ex-crash-report" to send crash report data to GGG whenever you crash.

For Steam:

Goto Library->Path of Exile 2 properties by right-clicking the icon->General->Launch Option-> Add --ex-crash-report
to the box.



For Standalone client:

Right the desktop shortcut->Properties->In the target field add --ex-crash-report

And the target should look like this: "C:\Program Files\Path of Exile 2\Client.exe" --ex-crash-report
