Reset Entire Passive Skill Tree
You know, I think part of the problem here is that so many games offer respecs now, we have forgotten how much fun it can be to play without them.
I know I have said it in other threads, but one of the things I like in this game is not feeling pressurised to respec into the latest 'flavour of the month' cookie-cutter build, and that IMO is one of the most damaging aspects of full respec systems. The way it is in PoE, I can undo small mistakes if I am prepared to put the time and effort in, and I can re-roll if I've borked my character beyond repair (which I will at some point, I'm sure!), but I can play the way I want to, and not be bullied into changing things by the rest of the player base. EDIT: sorry for the mini-rant. XD I'm not a n00b- I'm a Online Game Floor Examination Expert. Última edição por Misguidance#4689 em 28 de jan. de 2013 06:04:16

" I agree so hard on the flavour of the month part. I like that everyone have their unique build. The question if there should be passive skill tree reset is hard to answer, so many pros and cons. |

While I will admit the locked tree thing from d2 sucked when I did play. I'll admit. It gave you more to do. I already deleted a level 23 ranger to remake. You'll recover much faster after the first.

The system is too complex it would be nice to have an option to full respec. Otherwise it holds me back from spending points.

" Even that's an exaggeration - I've watched people with decent rares transferred over finish Normal Difficulty in about 4 hours tops, and hitting level 35 as they go into Cruel. This is a game designed to reroll, die, reroll, start over, etc. and Hardcore / the restrictions of respeccing encourages those things. |

If OP posts his build here, maybe we can help him out a bit.

Resets are antithetical to what this game is about. You think, make a choice, and proceed. Is it a perfect choice. Not always. Does it have consequences? Yes. That's the best part. You get to own what you do.
Crafting in this game is also "complex", from scouring an item to improving the quality to alterations and augmentations to regal etc. etc. I have 20 fusings, none of them gave me the 4 link despite the fact I made the choice to use them. Should GGG offer the option, for a fee, to reclaim lost materials because the choice I knowingly made (based on knowledge or whim) did not work out? No. That would be boring. A system whereby new players are granted a full respec would invariably spill over into all aspects of the game. I'm new, my regal sucked. I spent all this time finally found one and it didn't work out--please give me an option to acquire (right now) another. It would destroy the game's foundation. |

Gamers have gotten very lazy in the last 10 years and complain too much to make games easier. Look at vanila WoW vs WoW today. Look at any mmo today vs EQ1. NES/SNES vs current gen.
Gamers WANT hard games, look at dark souls. It is just sad that some gamers who have experienced gaming in the past have forgotten what it was like back then. |

" Sorry, but the less complex games are that way. -----> One of the biggest draws to this game is that it *is* complex. Many people are tired of the boring, everyone is the same after they put enough time into it style of game that exists out there now.
