Reset Entire Passive Skill Tree

I humbly suggest that this thread is closed and that we keep one respec QQ thread open at maximum at any given time. Just my 2 cents.
Blizzard gave into the casual gamer and dumbed down Diablo effectively killing the game. I'm in my late 30's with limited time to play also, however I do not want my experience diluted just so I can complete the game and get a false sense of accomplishment. I'd rather put the hard work in and get that sense of accomplishment WHILE I play the game.

Choosing your build direction is a fundamental part of the game - if u suck at it then u probably wont do well till your 3rd or 4th char. In fact if u don't like or are not good at theory crafting at all then I would suggest Diablo instead of PoE. There is no hand holding here and I for one am glad of that.

However, having limited time is annoying when u enjoy games with progression. I would suggest spending some of the limited time u have, for a couple of days, simply reading the wiki/ forum and any other snippets of detail u can find via google. It may sound boring but it will help your enjoyment in the days and weeks after.

Happy hunting :)
Enough with the regret shit threads. POE is about choices deal with it.

come on:

- there will be wipes now and then, when the skill-tree changes.

This is incorrect. The devs flat stated when they went from closed beta to open beta and wiped that was the last wipe. Ever. Period. Barring some kind of catastrophic data loss that necessitates a wipe, skill tree changes will not bring a wipe.

not a char-wipe, but that wasnt what i was talking about in first place. there will be tree-wipes every now and the, when they change the tree.

Gamers WANT hard games, look at dark souls. It is just sad that some gamers who have experienced gaming in the past have forgotten what it was like back then

This is a blatantly false statement. Gamers want easy games, they want a complete lack of challenge and that is why you see threads like this constantly. People can talk about dumbing down games but the reason companies do this is because the overwhelming majority of players want it that way. Personally I blame consoles more than anything else.

Having said that, they definitely should not change their minds with this game. This game is a niche game aimed at old school players. It shouldn't try to be everything to everyone because then it loses what it does well.

I do think if they do a major skill tree overhaul they should reset talents but it should be a pretty infrequent thing.
I agree with you guys. This is a niche game with clear direction. It's nice you can enjoy this system. It's too claustrophobic for me. And the only reason is this respec thing. I'll wait for Diablo 3 expansion with hope things gonna get better there.
Cheers and have a fun.

This is a good point. I have been wondering how they would handle things if they had to change the skill tree. I can only assume they are pretty confident in the tree as-is. If any changes were to be made... I dunno.

If major changes get introduced to the tree there will be a full passive reset.
I like the tree. It makes you consider your talents, and you really get to tune a class into your play style.

I'm still just playing around with classes, getting a feel for them and how I wish to mold them. Eventually I'll pick a class and sit down with a calculator and plot out exactly how I want to build my character.

If there was a cheap/easy way to completely respec your passive skills, I think it would cheapen this game. As is, you could have a roster full of Marauders, and each one plays different, uses different weapons and skills. If I could drop some orbs or a few dollars it will just make it easier to have one character, and change my skills.

Yay for permanence(sp)
