Why are you, as a player, against an auction house similar to D3's?

Because buying items from an anonymous auction house destroys the feeling of finding and improving your own gear, just like it did in Diablo 3.

definitely NO to an auction house. This destroys everything.

I want real player to player trade and fun finding items. I do not want to gather orbs/money and buy stuff from an AH. I want to play the game, not play the AH like it was in d3.

I think the GAH in d3 was fine. Yeah the core itemization of the game has huge problems but the idea behind the GAH (ingame currency for ingame items) was not so bad. So the GAH was not the problem in general, the balancing of the game around it was. Horrible jackpot RNG anyone?

The moment the RMAH showed its face tho it killed it completely. Introducing a mechanic utilizing real money that annihilates farming as a necessity in a game with a heavy emphasis on farming could lead to no better. Pay2Win = Burn2Quit

So i would accept a user controlled market interface (call it whatever you want - Auction House, Marketplace 1000, whatever...) with lot's of user stuff in it only moderated with ingame items and no influence of any real live currency's whatsoever... And as long as it remains exclusively optional mechanic that has no impact on gameplay whatsoever.

Chris, the head developer, already said no to there being an auction house. I believe it's a bad idea and it'll just ruin the game.

An auction is the best trading system there is.

I really hope they dont add one in


Diablo 3 was a total joke...every 5 levels or so you go into the AH and buy a new set of gear to faceroll the content...1 shotting every monster all the way to level 60..no thanks

it devalues item value

it lessens character attachment because AH is instant gratification while farming/trading/crafting gear upgrades require more effort

it's susceptible to AH bots

it removes a human element from the game
