Please explain the "Make an offer" mentality...

Force. Where did i say force? In my mind, you have a shop just like Kroger or Best Buy. If i offer $300 for a $500 TV, they say no, end of story. But in games like this...you still have a shop. IMO, you should price the items.

The thing is, many of the items i list in my shop have some value to me for using on an alt. I list them in my shop because procurement makes it easy to list entire stash tabs at a time, but its harder to list individual items. If something is there for sale, it doesn't necessarily mean that I don't want it. It can also mean if someone is willing to offer enough for it, it is for sale, but I'm not trying to move it as quickly as possible.

Again, I steer away from replying with "offer?" and go with "How much do you feel it is worth?" there is a subtle difference in the wording, but it ends with much less terse negotiations.

U want to sell a Item, U know for how much u would sell it atleast, so fkcing tell the buyers<.<
Or if u want to make it an auction, set a freaking starting bid.

Does speed up things for every1 and we wouldnt have to think about new trading ways or waste time with nonsense discussions like that.

So then the seller in question is sitting on a bunch of items that are worthless to him and no currency to barter for stuff that he actually needs because they're too afraid/stingy to take realistic offers for their crap. Sounds like they aren't getting very far with accumulating currency and getting rid of wares.

Not to mention, they aren't filming all the people bringing old stereo equipment or whatever mediocre stuff coming into that shop. They're only filming the equivalent of real world kaoms/shavs/soul takers etc. These people also have a rough script to follow. If you've ever actually been to a pawn shop you'd know this is not how they operate on a regular basis.i

Do you guys trade at all? The shitty item trades we're talking about do very little for making currency. If they're fast and quick, sure, that's great. But if I have to stop and type 15 lines to you for you to understand something and I still have a chance that you'll just walk away it's a bad deal unless I'm doing nothing.

You can make >1 fusing in drops in 4-5 minutes. But this means you don't have time to stop and type shit to some random guy who doesn't understand prices. If I don't get that 7 chaos from you I'll get it from someone else later. If I can't then the item isn't worth 7 chaos and I'll sell it for less. But you see, the chance of me being able to sell it at a lower price at a later time when I do have time to waste is much more acceptable to me than when you PM me while I'm mapping or farming.

PS you tend to have so much shit for sale that if you have a price in mind you probably come up with it on the spot, because most of the shit that stays in the shop for a while is just that.. it's shit that's worth a little currency but that's about it.

I ask how much because I dont want to offer 1-3 chaos when you want 7 (i might have 7), then youre stupidly and ignorantly offended and refuse to do business. But if i ask how much, you say 7 and ill pay that...then it becomes easy and everyone is happy.

good log....oh wait. you are standard :)

and rofl @pricing every item: no. bahaha, thats too funny

i didnt say price every item. i still pm shops/sellers with no prices. but i dont pm them saying "ill pay 11 chaos for lvl 30req ring." im simply saying that they should have a price IN MIND. Not physically type out a price if they have 15 rings and 12 amulets, 3 boots, and 15 weapons.

most of my gripe is the people that say offer, and i DO then get no reply. at all. if im low...tell me. lets HAGGLE. LETS BARTER. dont be all "youre shit and youre offer is shit" kind of person. if you want to sell it, lets talk prices.

i wanted an amulet that was good to me but i didnt know it was "that great." i offered 5 chaos and he wanted a lot more. but i didnt have it. we ended up BARTERING and i got the amulet for the chaos, a low level unique, a cast on type gem, some wisdom scrolls and orbs of transmutation.

i have a price in mind, for every of my items. if the offer matches with this price = deal, if not = ignore. you make it too complicated.

Turnabout on that is:
You want to buy an item. You know how much you are willing to pay for i, so fcking tell the seller.

See how that works?

The easiest way is to just not be an asshole. I always put on my shop text:" You will need to offer, but I wont be a dick if you lowball me. It doesn't take much effort to be civil, and usually we can come to an agreement."

you make it complicated and bring down the quality of the community by ignoring. you have some ego problems.
Not playing anymore. It was a fun ride since 2013!! I just browse the forum now. ~~~~~ "We are spiritual beings having a human experience, not the other way around." ~~~~~"All that you are is the sum of all your thoughts."

Lol so many pople whoreally don't understand the value of things at endgame. Makes me wonder what kind of op items are vendored every day.

So very true :)

I often search for specific class item (like ring with several nice stats) and guys want 20-30 chaos to 3 EX or more for them. Then next guy says "ehh idk, 2 chaos?" And I say "cmon, 1,5 :)" Last time I've bought this for 1,5 chaos
