in poe trading, there are two and only two scenarios

Buyer: (shit, should i lowball him...he might ignore me...but what if he doesnt know the price? hmmmm) "idk bro, i just wanted to know the price."
Seller: (oh shit, is this dude a noob? maybe i can rip him off) "c/o is xxx orbs bro"
Buyer: (oh shit, that was cheaper than i wanted to pay) "hmmmm, yeah, i can do that"
Seller: a1n
......
Buyer: "hey bro, how much for your item?"
Seller: "offer?"

Seller: (butt hurt and nerd raging) "bro, that offer is too low...i dont want to deal with a noob, bb"
Buyer: "how much do you want then?"
Buyer: "hello"
Buyer: "man, fuck you...you fucking asshole!!!"
Seller: "ok bro, im ignoring you now bb" (clicks ignore)
buyer: "FUUUUUUUCK YOUUUUUUU"
First, you need to remember many people aren't the sharpest and dont know crap about trade etiquette. They rarely state the basics of a trade- res, bin, timer, snipe rule
It's also from greedy too, but mostly stupidity. If i have something i know the price of or have a value in mind, i state it in the channels when asked to save time.
I'll play the make offer game with nice, niche stuff that's hard to price
I honestly don't think 95% of the Poe population know what things are "worth."
Say I have a 5l, lvl 55 piece of armor with 45 life, 30 cold res and 35 lightning res. I bet if everyone who has posted in this thread pm's me and says what they think the item is actually "worth" I'll have vastly different numbers.

only noobs say that, becuz they hope that they will sell their item for more then they would ask, normally.
Just ignore the user or offer him a trash item, and name him in global so ppl know he is a scamer, i do that all time ( watch 4 angry mods , not to get baned...this game banns u from chat rly fast, this sucks)
"Greetings mam, you have nice sneekers in your shopwindow, I'll tell you what, I'll give you 50 bucks for them! Sounds fair?"
"Hey bro, so you're selling your mercedes? Would you part with it for 12K dollars? What do you say?"

I have two methods in dealing with "offer" guys;
If I'm in good mood
"sry i'm bad at givin offers, just tell me what you want for it please"
If I'm in bad mood
"sry I don't do offers, if you want to sel that just name the price"
I wouldn't trade with you regardless of the offer you're making considering your responses in the thread. But other than that I would just tell them to have a nice day and keep doing whatever I was doing if they're not going to offer.
