Please explain the "Make an offer" mentality...

Now I will dismantle this post to show you why "offer" psychology is intrinsically stupid and unfair;

The way I tend to run my shops and trades is when I am posting in trade chat with items, I don't mind questions and a bit of haggling, but when I am whispered out of the blue and am busy I would just prefer to make a fair offer and I'll pause what I'm doing real quick and trade it to you, but if the person wants to sit there and chat back and fourth trying to haggle the lowest price possible, i'd rather not bother. I give good deals all the time, but I do not tolerate my limited game time being wasted.

If you really value your time, just put fair b/o prices. Simple isn't it? No lowballers, no time wasting for you or others. If you run shop and sell things you are expected to have better knowledge then random guy that buys it. Reasonable pricing is YOUR responsibility. There is reason why all civilized world is bases on priciple "seller puts the price", not buyer.

IF you are truly unsure about the price, they take a moment to look at other similar items to get an idea, don't make the seller stop what he is doing and do research for you.

If you have somewhat of an idea of it's value, or even if not, you should have an idea on how much YOU would be willing to give, so offer that.

But it will be your call anyway. Why should I try to guess hidden number that you consider "fair" instead you just hand it out immediately? Isn't it shorter, simpler and ultimately more fair?

Just as the post I quoted above, we are often playing the game, in maps or whatnot, why not save us both some time and give your offer with the whisper so when we have to stop running our maps, make our friends wait for us, ect, We can make the deal as quick and seamless as possible.

Yes, either that or you just make fair b/o prices on your shop and make life more simple for buyers and yourself.

This is why the trade system is f&cked up. You are saying that "Make me an offer" makes people retarded and it's unfair. At this point, you, the buyer is stopping the transaction from taking place at this point, because the seller is just asking a simple question.

This mentality, IMO, perpetuates the negative attitude that everyone has towards buying and selling items in this game.

well i hate the trade channel like the devil hates angels and shit like that... u absolutly cant ever find good stuff on trade.. its like nazi-teleshopping (sorry for the n word.. just an hyper exaggeration, and im german with history knowledge.. but trade channel has become SO F..king.fff.f.f.f insane)

if i need something i use poexplorer and xyz.. selling my own stuff.. forget it! no one buys even very good stuff.. and this bartering ("i give u shit for this"-mentality) is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo (+10bazillon more "o"'s) annoying to the point were u want to send those people a hitman that punniches em like the crack n. dudes from pulp fiction...


soooo trading = meeehhhhhhh.. thanks god im max equipped because the post appocalyptic 1.00 trade totalitary system (of "well if it was 1 ex lets make it 100ex" greedballs) will make it impossible to get my gear without at least 200 ex ..

soo im using my fully packed stash to swap stuff with my 2 german poe friends... "we habe a communist stash" so my stuff is their stuff.. that works much better than this shit trade system.. if i need something i can be sure my friend has an insane super thing in his stash and opposite...

(also im fucking drunken.. so decrease everything by 30%) ;))

i got all i need.. im LS max block(phys+spell) duelist forever and im 100% equipped.. and im glad its that way ;)).. after 1.00 its SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO impossible to get this kind of gear again

one says he doesnt offer because he doesnt know prices, this guy here says, he offers 1 Chaos (nobody cares if you are a little butthurt baby giving a butthurt answer :) thats the first thing you learn as adult in this world) if he doesnt get a price...really im rofling here.

they think they dont have to put effort in as buyer, and they dont need to know prices to ask for the price of an item.

That ring is pretty good, however quite specific in stats. Elel and physical are seldom wanted togedher. Accuracy is sought after only in crti based builds, mostly. It has no life. It's not that easy to put the price on that.

It's a crit based ring.

Phys roll - Damage
Light roll - Adds to shock
Accuracy - Chance to hit
Mana - Need 600+ mana to get enough after reserved
High res - We all love res


Not everybody is a life based RT cookie cutter. But the fact I got that many pm's in that amount of time shows it has the exact stats people search xyz for.. I don't apply no cheep tactics, I bought a 1h with 285 dps for 2 ex, sold for 3... If people search for an item and find what they're looking for they have an idea of what they want to pay, so they should let me know :)

this ring for exapmple was an xplorer xyz blabla find after lots of lots of searching... never found a similar ring .. so 2ex or something like that was absolutly ok..

this le heup was a lucky buy 2ex and its the best one if ever seen
