AS for me, I got to lvl 80 in Invasion, but after a long unlucky streak I'm left with 1x69 & 2x68 maps and I just don't feel like doing all the grind again... This is the point where self-found stops to be viable, unless you are prepared for weeks & weeks of grind & being kicked down from tiers, etc.. I just did it already and don't feel like doing it again.

Haven't stopped playing, but cut down on play time drastically since the new xpac for 2 reasons.

First the way the atziri content is supposed to be accessed is an example of super fail game design, disrespectful to the personal time a player puts in the game and a giant middle finger to everyone who doesn't want to participate in the trading simulator. PoE has been my favorite game for the last 2 years but this situation has made me like it way less. :(

Second - just burned out on grinding maps so I can grind more maps so I can grind more maps... not gaining anything in the process. Technically I gained xp but I don't see the point in xp anymore, my lvl90 is only marginally stronger than when it was lvl80. I don't see myself leveling a character past 80ish again.

I am now happily playing the game in an area where it still shines, and that is making alts using cool uniques. I highly recommend playing around with the goddess sword, quecholli maul, the blood reaper axe to people who haven't tried them.

Too much RNG.

GGG only listening to the no-lifers, not the rest of the community which probably acounts for over 80%.

Trading is horrible.

Crafting is way too RNG, even worse now with Vaal Orbs. (clever way to kill legacy items tho)

XP loss from server instability - thats so much fun. Love losing 2 hours of progress when the server spikes/desyncs.


Could list a lot of things but the game is designed to reward lucky players and those who have no fucking life. Otherwise it's a pretty boring time-sink that is only fun when you get lucky.

Its like sitting at a slot machine, but with worse chance of hitting a jackpot. And instead of putting in a few bucks, it just drains your time until you dont even want to pull the arm because playing for the jackpot only is NOT fun.

Focus on races and temporary leagues. I am not a fan of either.

Honestly GGG, are you listening to what's being said in this thread? There is a reason there are so many independent persons coming to very similar conclusions. You have to start making changes erring on the side of and in advocation for the individual player experience. Your trickle down way of advocating for the trade barons and no-lifers are just going to erode the core player base. But how many times can we yell, 'Iceberg!' while the captain is ignoring the danger before we simply jump ship?

Because for some reason items don't sell themselves when I'm offline and too busy reading romance novels to log on and sell them... What gives? <_<

And until I sell my Legacies, I won't be able to afford my own personal Holy Grail, an Alternate Art Cloak of Flame, I feel so unfulfilled that I see no point in playing Ambush/Invasion until I have my preciouszzz rotting away looking pretty in my Standard Stash... :S

Someone help a brother out, and donate to my Alt Art Cloak of Flame Fund, or just sell me yours. You'd be doing the world a service. ~.^

Because the grind is boring but mostly I was looking forward to crafting but "orbs" and gold is one and the same in this game. That spoils the game for me. Especially since crafting is advertised as being the ultimate shit..but its just shit..

How is that any different than if you'd have to BUY the Orbs for Gold? GGG just takes a step out, and creates an interesting Currency/Economy in the process.. <3
