I will never beat shaper or uber atziri
Is it because they're too hard? No. Well they could be, but I'll never know, because I've never tried to beat them.
I'm stuck in an endless cycle of leveling a character up to max, getting extremely bored of the character after 20 maps or so, then rolling a new one in which I spend what little currency I gathered in that little time I spent with the previous character on the new character, but it's never enough to get it any gear that can clear anything higher than Tier 12 maps. I'm always on a 4-link and I've only done uber lab once in Legacy before I got bored and quit for the league. I've never had an exalt drop for me since I started playing in Breach. The rarest thing I've ever had drop for me was Pride Before the Fall this league, which makes sense as it drops in leveling zones, where I'm spending most of my time. And no, this is not me complaining, or asking for advice. This is just a realization I have. I know what my options are. I know that I'm supposed to charge through maps as fast as possible, only picking up currency and small items like rings. This kills my enjoyment even faster, because it's like playing through an ARPG and only picking up gold. Alternatively, I can straight up not get bored as easily, but that's a fuckin stupid alternative because if we could choose whether or not we get bored of something, we'd all be working 24/7 because it would be fun. If I didn't get bored, I can probably beat Shaper SSF as well after finally finding something that's not crap and getting lucky with map drops/links, but I already established that neither of those are going to happen. Kinda reminds me of FF3, where I can enjoy the game throughout at a nice pace, but don't want to do the grind at the end when the game turns the dial up to 100. You barely started playing in january, don't expect to understand the game enough to be able to do the veryendgame bosses.

" Yeah, I recently killed both the Shaper and Uber Aziri for the first time, and also found the bitch queen a lot more challenging than that poor old guy. Maybe it depends on the build, idk. But to me, Uber Atziri feels like the real endgame boss rather than the Shaper. Just the trio guarding the path is almost as difficult as the whole Shaper fight. Fuck master rotas. Fuck any kind of rotas, for that matter.

Do maps with a group, join rotas in /global 820, etc. Pretty fun and you can get some wealth.
Plus when you get some serious wealth you can re-roll your already-leveled character and try another build. |

GGG thinks too much of their endgame. I blew through the core game of 3.0. Pushed me right into ESO. TYVM. Nothing wrong with quitting this game. No I won't be back for new leagues. Running core 3.0 once was boring enough.

" I dont play like that, I probably pick up 50% of rares, often port to sell maybe twice in a map, and Ive got 6 links and crazy items coming out of my ears. I wouldnt buy into the super l33t speedmeta do it or ur doin it wrong nonsense that a lot of tryhards like to blabber on about. Theres people who play like that and do it well, it works for them, they enjoy it, and for every guy like that theres 50 guys who would like to be that guy and follow all the speed meta rules of how to play, talk the talk, and theyre still poor plebs who get nowhere in levels or in riches. Play the game the way you enjoy it, and if you simply dont enjoy playing in any fashion then go find another game. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

Dont worry, I didn't start taking uber atziri seriously until 3 yrs into the game.

"Yyyyyep! I mean hah, Uber Atziri? I've never seen normal Atziri. Most characters I make don't reach maps, and the ones that do usually only play a couple of them, because character development has slowed down so much by that stage of the game that I'd rather make someone new instead. And that's fine. It's a game, not a checklist. |

Neither of them are profitable or fun after the first few weeks.
