Here's how it works :
Nothing = 5962 armor
with Grace = 10539 armor
with Determination = 17494 armor
with Molten Shell = 23197 Armor ( It's a bit more cause I got a new helm )


determination is a multiplier... holy shit, now I see where I went wrong. And here I was thinking it acted like 66% from nodes.

Will it work in Default?

with 9k effective life and no evasion nodes I'm wondering if it's still worth it to go iron reflex's.

I respec at lvl 80+ , so at that point,with all the respec point you get from quests along the way ,it should not be a problem.If it is and you still need some regret orbs, they are not as expensive. For a fact , they are more expensive on softcore than on hardcore. :)
You should not follow my build blindy, if at any point you feel the need of more dmg/life/ressits , you can always alternate it. The builds in this game revolve around the big Keystone passive, as long as you have them at the appropriate lvl you'll be fine.
If you feel your dmg is fine, skip the Crit nodes, go witch faster instead, or something. :)
I'd say you'd want IR before hitting maps.You should not be concerned about money/gear,they affect all builds the same. Early and mid game,as for late game you can just trade/farm currency.

In general, how noob friendly my build is, I'm not sure how to answer. It'll carry you all the way to merciless for sure, but if you're not ready for the reflect mobs, you might instagib yourself.

I'm not stacking crit. I use it at the start, but later I respec out of it.

I understand why you would come to this conclusion. But rethink it. You'll see why it's still worth getting IR :)

Ya, armour is pretty good, people give it too much shit. Probably best to have more so you take less ES damage and leech it back faster/more consistently.


How do you do against chaos dmg? Chaos dmg still bypass's ES correct?

It does bypass ES. You have to get high chaos resistance to counteract that.
With quick reactions, positive chaos resistance and more than 3.5k life and you'll be fine!
