This is my build at level 80. It's a variation of this build. I forgo the witch area for the center of the tree.
I rushed IR/IW/EB as they are the key components of my build. I respec'd the center of the tree later on to include the damage and cast speed. Most of the other points spent are for survivability and mana regen.
I run pretty much a full Ev/ES armor set.
Let me know what you guys think!
I can see this work on SC, but not on HC. You might just instagib yourself one day. You have too much dmg, imo.
With quality high lvl gems, the dmg is more than enough. :p

I am a bit confused on using chain and fork with EK. I thought EK, just like Freeze Pulse, automatically pierces targets 100% of the time. From my understanding of a few posts Mark_GGG has made in addition to the mechanics forums, and wiki, piercing, forking, and chaining are mutually exclusive and only one can occur for each hit based on a priority system. Pierce is at the top of the priority so if an attack pierces 100% of the time, it will never fork or chain.
Am I misunderstanding or completely herpderping on something?
Thanks!

Well, you are.
EK shoots out 10 projectiles,if you hit only 2 targets ,the other 8 projectiles just keep going and eventually dissipate.I might be giving you the illusion that they pierce, but they do not.
Reason why you would want chain/fork is, for example:
You hit 3 targets , 7 projectiles dissipate,3 projectiles hit, those 3 projectiles split into 2 more , hitting the other 2 targets , which results in you hitting all 3 mobs 3 times each.
Similar effect can be achieved with fork, depending on circumstances.
It is true that, pierce fork and chain are self exclusive ,but EK does not pierce by default.

Ah, ok, that makes perfect sense then. I recall hearing Byyr (Dave) on Kripp's stream say it auto pierces, but I likely misheard him. Thanks for the response and clarifying that, I appreciate it man.
Because Grace combined with Determination will give you more armor than going Armor/ES gear.
So now the 1000+ Evasion Rating from Grace is multiplied by all Evasion% passives, converted to armor, then multiplied by Armor% passives and Determination.
It's the same reason Eldritch Battery gives you so much mana.

Thanks for the input. Yes this is a Softcore build, so keep that in mind.
