Comprehensive feedback
I'm still disappointed that GGGs only post in this entire thread contains nothing more than "we'll reply later".
We understand you can't personally respond to every feedback thread. That's why you only respond to the ones that are high quality, like this one. If you want players to continue handing you money, you have to keep up a good flow of information. Última edição por Xendran#1127 em 21 de abr. de 2013 22:48:48

I think a lot of players are on the edge right now, and giving us something to look forward to will keep us here and hopeful. The manifesto basically just said, "we hear ya" rather than containing solutions with possible time frames. While I have no doubt GGG is working hard to resolve issues/complaints, I feel like people are losing interest while waiting for things they consider "game breaking" to be resolved.

After seeing the reborn beta manifesto, and thinking about my experience with the game since OB, I have finally decided to leave POE once for all.
I came to the conclusion that everything I dislike currently about the game (loss of builds and gears diversities, forced grouping for farming, forced trading for gearing...) come from the vision of GGG for POE to be *the* game for the hardcore(st) arpg players : to be successfull you *have* to master and harness mechanics and economy of the game, excel sheets and metagaming. I can understand this vision, but this is not what I'm looking for in an arpg because I value fun before anything else. Of course people can have fun by mastering and harnessing mechanics and economy of the game, excel sheets and metagaming. After all Eve Online still exists. I, myself, can enjoy it as some form of intellectual challenge. What I personally and truly find fun in the arpg games, however, is the sheer amount of freedom in it. Crushing a swarm of little-cute-octopus-babies with a two handed sword or frying them with chain lightning type of freedom ;) Alas in POE this freedom is more and more weakened as you progress through the game, because everything become more and more balanced against the theoretical hardcore player(s group) with 95%+ optimized build and gear until the point where to perform just ''average'' you HAVE TO BE this theoretical hardcore player(s group). And I don't want to give everything which is Hecate67 as an arpg player just to be him and finally enjoy the game. So it's a last free, and sad, bump from me for this thread :'( |

" This saddens me, because I truly feel that GGG can make the game very difficult and hardcore, yet still retain people such as yourself. The problem with this game right now however, is that it chooses to attempt to be hardcore and "difficult", in the most archaic, flawed, unfun, ridiculous, constricting ways possible. I just hope GGG pushes this game towards, chess/Dark Souls sort of hardcore/difficult (as much as possible in ARPG form), and not obtuse, backwards, archaic "hardcore/difficult, such as in games like Ninja Gaiden for the NES, and other games that are technically difficult, but about as fun and rewarding as building a house by hammering nails in with your forehead. " Race points were a pretty telling point. "We're going to rebalance points awarded." Pretty vague. I chose to interpret it as "We're going to adjust upward the reward table for the longer races, so if you spend three times the amount of time derping around, you get three times the points." But no. What it meant was "we're going to lower the points across the board." Lul, the exact opposite. The league structure of them is actually fairly silly when you think about it. I thought it was going to be like one long-term race and two or three or four smaller ones a week, with rewards awarded per race. Surely in the long term that makes more sense; after all, I'll find more end game uniques and high level gems farming endgame areas instead of replaying the first hour of the game ten million times. Making a whole... "thing" out of the skill check question of "can you equip a leather belt and two coral rings?" is also silly. Not to mention using exp as the sole yardstick.. 'Is fine I guess. Not everyone is in sync with each other... Other fish in the sea and all that. " Die to the boss on 6-4. GET SENT BACK TO STAGE 6-1. Still somehow more fun than losing two hours worth of grinding. Since it doesn't take two hours to get back to 6-4. Última edição por LimitedRooster#5890 em 23 de abr. de 2013 17:21:12

" Ya, they seemed to have picked the same route that D3 went at release. Make shit hit really hard and HC gamers will love it. Meanwhile they spout diversity yet even default at the highest levels looks very similar to HC in general. It's a shame. I keep hoping they lower mob damage, as that's the biggest issue of all but they seem firm about not doing so. Finished 17th in Rampage - Peaked at 11th

" I don't want to sound like i'm trying to be insulting to GGG, but i genuinely believe that they don't know how to balance video games properly in a way that ends up being enjoyable. They have the drive to make a good game, but lately i've been doubting their ability to balance. It takes quite a lot of skill, math, and playtime (If carl is a dedicated balancer, he should have a playtime in the top 5 or 10%, because how can you be savvy to all the intricate balance details unless you play excessively to experience them?). Also, copypaste this and throw it on reddit, GGG is shooting themselves in the foot by responding on reddit with a much much higher rate. (They say its easier for them if people post here on the forums, but because they never respond to good feedback in any meaningful amount anymore people are encouraged to just throw it onto reddit instead.)
