Steam offline , no game ?!

I'm pretty sure you can unmerge it by contacting GGG's support. Assuming you even need to unmerge it.

Steam is awesome for me since I use it for so many games anyway and it auto updates PoE for me.
Patches come at weird times in South Africa so when I wake up its all done and ready to play!

In order to use Steam's offline mode, you have to log out from steam in it. It's no good to try to force it offline when you can't connect.

Steam's often down for a few minutes every now and then... don't panic.

As far as I know, If you connected an existing account to steam you can still use the Normal client to log in via email and password.

Sadly it looks like you may have to re-download the non steam client and use that as well. Not sure exactly how it works or if PoE doesnt mind which way it starts so I would be interested to know this, if you do re-dl the original client please let us know how it goes ;)

Yes, it is.

The reason why it doesn't work is because when you use steam version of poe, it grabs your login info from your steam account and logs you in securely. When PoE doesn't have steam access, it can't grab your login.

that only tells me that you don't own a single orig/purchased game but ok, who am I to judge right?
I also don't like fact that i NEED Steam, Origin, Uplay and god know what else to play games but hey....who ask us :)....at least all my games are up to date all time so i don't have to care for that

So don't use Steam. Problem solved.

I don't get why people have this addiction to a stupid company (Valve) whose stupid service (Steam) charges more for a DD copy than for a physical disc. So what if you can't see all your games at once? Just create a folder with shortcuts to everything if your OCD is that serious.

Also updates are usually miniscule; if it's time for a big update, then go plan something else for 2 hours while POE updates.
