Steam offline , no game ?!

why the hell use steam C.C

What's with all the steam hate? Steam is super convenient, you never have to enter your password or unlock your account when you're out of town. It patches the game for you with no effort required and it has a nice in game chat interface so you don't have to alt tab constantly. If these things don't matter to you, that's fine, but don't pretend there aren't good reasons for others to use steam.

If I have to choose between convenience and freedom, I choose freedom. No steam for me, thanks.

Steam Hate (tm) dates back to when the service was truly crappy. It's also fashionable to hate. It allows you to identify with the group of haters. It's not just Steam. It's a facet of human nature.

You can play without Steam just fine even tho you merged the account you just have to launch the game like you used to before Steam came about. (May have to redownload game if you remeoved it from your computer) Regardless tho long as you still have the original client you can play just fine linked to steam or not mine is linked to Steam but after i seen how crappy there handling stuff I just log in from original client again.

u linked poe to steam to get it in the convenient library? fullderp?

u can actually LINK a shortcut of anygame.exe directly into steam library WITHOUT having it connected with steam itself. it will have the separate folder as usual, but only a shortcut will appear in the library, works just the way as if it was on the desktop.

And also on the steam hate, for me it comes mostly from
-it can take many days just to get non-helpful automatic copy-paste answer from the service team.
-throughout many years of using steam, the friendlist have had random downtime too many to count
-Steam just goes into offline mode and u are screwed basically, and there's NEVER any information on steam.com or any forum about what is going on. Valve makes more effort to keep any change secret than to try keeping the software up and running.

I really like the concept of steam program, but the wrong company runs it.

I am having this isssue today, is anyone from GGG able to tell us if this is going to change in the near future? thanks!

Hi there, as Steam is actually down (anybody knows) I created a new Account right here at POE.com.

Now I would like to play and have my previous progress being saves (as I bought some micros too in the past).
Is there anybody from POE support available how might link my account here with my steam account? I can't due to Steam is not working ^^
