[Person B] gains the points which he can spend on... other gear...

Is that what you mean?

If so, Player A has paid to win.

Sure, Player B remains perfectly clean. Player A, on the other hand... ;)

Granted, situations like this will happen with D2jsp regardless of what GGG does. However, if they offer the service themselves then they would be officially supporting a Pay2Win system.

It's not pay 2 win.

In a pay 2 win game you WILL have to pay to be able to follow up. In this d2jsp-system you will pay another for his hard work. You're paying for in game items, not for GGG to hand you some over.

So it's not pay 2 win, not at all :)

There's no gold in the game (GGG very clearly does not want there to be), why would there be 'gold' outside the game?

there already is gold outside the game, many people have 10k-300k forum gold on jsp, just waiting for this game to go open

and most of their fg was gotten from botting and duping etc for 6-12 years

Pay2Win means any real money exchange that will allow a player to gain a significant advantage over other players.

What you've been describing is a system allowing a player to buy any item in the game with $.

That system, if supported by the devs, would make PoE a Pay2Win game.

That may be cool for you, but that's not the kind of game the devs want to make.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong here, please.

What people choose to do with their items is not my business, but it isn't pay to win if they choose to sell them.

There's plenty of browser games out there, where you will get a boost on buildings production time, if you pay money. A boost you wouldn't get without paying. That means you can't win the game, if you don't pay.

In a forum gold system, people could just not sell, then it wouldn't exist. It has nothing to do with pay to win.

It would be pay to win if:

Player A finds the best item in game
Player B buys the best item in game by GGG (without finding it = GGG creates it out of nowhere).

That is pay to win, and it would destroy the economy.

Well, it actually is pay to win. You 'pay' to 'win'. Where the stuff you buy come from doesn't matter, does it? The problem is the forum currency. If you can earn it by doing ANYTHING else than playing the game, then it is going to damage the economy. It doesn't matter if you make this by posting great guide or by working for a real money. The only way to prevent this is to allow trading ingame items for ingame items only.

Can't be prevented.

Either GGG implements something or else the majority will use D2jsp, fact.

Just look at the size of D2jsp: http://www.big-boards.com/

Well the fact it can't be prevented doesn't remove the P2W part from it. It just needs to be prevented as much as possible to let the game stay real f2p.

It's not pay 2 win, it's pay 4 work. :) You pay someone to do the grinding for you. The seller is just represented by you.

I already said it. Pay to win by definition requires soemone to pay for ingame advantage which is exactly what you are doing when PAYING for someone elses work.
