Fellow HDD players: I thinke we're being saved

The new way of storing files also improves how we preload important assets. The most noticeable improvement is that players without an SSD will have a much, much better time. The benefits for users with SSDs are more marginal.

Everytime I start up the game, I had to do a dry run at blood aquaducts so that my assets slowly get loaded. And maybe now I can actually do syndicate fights without having -2 fps!

Most of the time I play on desktop with decent specs

but at times I travel and have to make do with a less than decent laptop with outdated HDD.

This new patch will hopefully do wonder.

Well considering how the economy crashed on 2020 and SSDs and other pc parts are up to ridiculous prices on some countries i'm not surprised...

SSDs are the cheapest they've ever been lol

And wtf does "other pc parts" have to do with SSDs?

You have to remember that prices are not global and as for other parts, i was just mentioning that there is an overall pc parts shortage and not just SSDs due lockdown of China and other Asian producers.

Hardly matters, there's always some monetary excuse people "just CAN'T" upgrade to an SSD, pandemic or not. Saw the same reasoning a year, two years, three years ago when people suggest you switch to SSD to improve PoE (and literally every other program's) performance.

If you haven't been using one in the last 4+ years then that's just your weird problem. Five years ago I convinced everybody I know to move to them and not a single person will settle for anything less anymore, even my grandparents. There is no reason to not use an SSD in current year, just like there was no reason in 2016.
1TB SSD's on new egg for next to nothing.
Is still good to have an old HDD as "support" for mass data storage on those files that don't really need the fast load times that a SSD can offer. Like have your OS and games on the SSD and your 1tb "homework" folder on a HDD for example.
