2020 you still dont have a SSD?

holy crap and i thought I was poor.

And by this I mean "SSD Trolls".

Maybe the flame war started when I said "SSD Trolls". By that I mean people like this, that just want to troll by "I can buy you can not", "lol trash pc", etc. The real discussion is not HDD x SSD, or who has the better PC or not.

The real discussion is that GGG devs didn't use best pratices or made programing mistakes that SSDs were masking, and people with HDD had problems for ages, but GGG never addressed the issues because "lol SSD" trolls.

But in the end the truth always comes up. GGG addressed the problems. Let's see if they were fixed.

People with HDDs had problems, and ggg made the switch that would favor the users with solid state drives because HDDs were the problem. The reason we can have our own hideouts built from scratch with detail triple a titles are left in the dust, is not because of some super cool innovation, but because every asset is separate, which means there is a lot more stress being put on systems, specifically drives of any type.
It has nothing to do with programming mistakes.

Every piece of hardware, same as software, is not made magically more capable, it's brute-forced. CPU cooling requirements are going up, the amount of power draw from a gpu has gone up more than tenfold in pas decade alone, games become more demanding almost by a margin of a month, compare the requirements of WoW when it was released, compared to nowadays, or old CoD series compared to the new ones.
The reason people are so fixated on PoE and GGG in general being the bad wolf is not because the game runs bad, but because it's a f2p title built like p2p, it attracts every person with a toaster for a computer, and when their system starts crapping it self, it's almost unfathomable because it's a free to play game, like wtf - every f2p title up till now was made with a mindset that it would support as wide variety of systems as possible, and here you have a dev that not only has designed the game with the mindset of people with actual computers and wallets, but have the audacity to point blank refuse to add certain options to turn off specific in-game effects because it would ruin the aesthetic.

The problem grows even larger as the game keeps attracting more people.
So all the above taken into consideration, i think it's quite appropriate to say that if you don't have an ssd in 2020, you are doing it wrong - especially considering the demographic this game is aimed at. The system requirements, the cost of MTX - anyone who thinks PoE was made for your average child with a potato pc mainly used for study that's so badly maintained that once a day it gives you a complimentary bsod, is mad.
No rest for the wicked.
I have an SSD in all of my systems and have for years.

This thread is about people that don't. GGG has made a nice fix for them. This thread is supposed to be about that. If you good folks wish to belittle people that dare have systems with only HDD then I respectfully suggest that you create a different thread to bad mouth them.
Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!
I have an SSD

Legion monoliths, again the very first one was actually a terrible fps drop, but every single one after that I experienced 0 fps drops there after. This is something I've never experienced before.

It seems to me that the longer I play the game the more stuff is pre-loaded and the smoother it runs. (see next point)

For vulcan, the overall performance looks better but I occasionally run into micro-stutters.

I have the same micro-stutters but it feels like it gets better the longer I play.

it just shows you don't really care about your experience or your PC's performance. Plain and simple. And don't tell me bla bla bla money. You could save $5 a month for a few months and go buy one.
