Fellow HDD players: I thinke we're being saved
My theory... (Off-topic alert.)
People latch onto this game because they just aren't very good at games in general. (And there's nothing wrong with that.) It's a game where there "veteranship" finally means that they are better than some other players. Better than newbies. It makes them feel good. They are used to, in other games, still probably not being better than half the newbies, despite having veteranship over them. Something like Counterstrike, a PoE player might play CS for years and be worse than a naturally skilled newbie just picking up the game. And it makes that person feel bad. PoE is not difficult. But it is certainly complicated to a newcomer, where natural skill doesn't really show for anything. Buying a top-end CPU and having a decade of experience puts you at a distinct advantage over a newbie in Path of Exile, and so people cling to this game to feel like they are an elite gamer, as evidence of those that quit the game because they "couldn't handle it". This theory of mine also seems evident in how people love to "push people out" of PoE, instead of support criticism and try to improve the game. If this game does not improve, then their veteranship remains a strength over the newcomers, and pushing a struggling/unsatisfied player out of the game is like "winning" to these PoE clingers. Yes, I do believe people legitimately like PoE, too. I mean - I could, if it had its problems fixed. But the way people suggest it has no issues, and the way they push people out, and just... all sorts of these strange actions... It's all led me to this theory. I'd wager, these diehard PoE fans that seem to oppose fixes, they probably don't have any notable credentials with any other game. PoE is the one where they can feel like a victor. And they will always defend this with their every fiber. Última edição por ShadyC#1006 em 8 de set. de 2020 18:36:50

The irony being this post is about a patch to help fix the game for people with bad pc's.
/Whoosh. |

Yes, I know. I give GGG credit for this attempt, and I hope that it works.
If it works, I will be glad to support this game even more than I already have. I respect a company that respects their lower end playerbase. A company that doesn't say, "Lol upgrade your potato, dude." We will see if this fixes things or not. (I thought I already made these remarks, but your above post makes me think I never hit send?) |

You say "woosh" like you're not the one giving one-liner insults in response to long, thought-out posts.

I don't read your posts.
I already know it says my old laptop can't play poe and it's ggg's fault. Feel free to make this post tonights diary per usual though. Maybe tomorrow your old laptop will run this game better. However that logic works. Última edição por CheLseAxGriNN#2468 em 8 de set. de 2020 18:52:36

My god.
Well, at least you make it so I don't even have to point out what kind of person you are. Everyone can see it. |

A logical person that realizes that better pc hardware yields better performance?

people with bad pc shouldn't expect ggg to make miracles for them

I'm sure your 4gb ram outdated graphics card laptop on power save mode definitely hits the specs.
GGG should change the entire game just for you. |
