Finally someone with a post I can argue with w/o trolling.

I agree, the future is SSD. Sooner os later we'll all have it and HDD will be something to show our granchild, like the old 3/4 disquetes I have.

But what people seens to do is blame the victim here. And that's something I totally disagree.

It's like saying "lol buy a gun" to someone who wants to visit a dangerous city. Or like saying "lol don't wear those clothes" to a woman who was raped.

But as I say it would all make clear if GGG made clear that you need X or Y to play the game. There's no shame in changing the minimum requirements. But once you state you can play using the minimum requirements you must stick to that.

Like my job: we stated our aplication works in WebSphere like in 2014. Why? Dunno, I was not here. Since then we had no problems regarding running in WebSphere, but since it's a paid application server we switched our main focus on Wildfly. But it's 2020 and one customer had a problem with WebSphere. Would we be correct if we say "lol change to Wildfly"?

Anyway, this all deranged into a flame war, I am guilty for contributing to that. Will refrain from posting more.

We were giving the op advice on SSD's and pricing before you came in here calling us trolls.

man I wish developers would just start requiring an SSD as a minimum system requirement and shrug when outdated hard drive users complain. I saw a thread recently in WoW forums of someone complaining the new expansion won't run well on their 2014 mac - that's what hard drive users sound like

What's even funnier is that my laptop can run BFA as high as 40-ish frames.

But PoE? I'm lucky for double digit FPS for 50% of my playtime. And some things are legitimately less than 1 frame per second. Syndicate encounters, the first few screens of any map, god forbid I FPS myself into a Delirium portal...

I just played a Blight map. Everything going Ok. Everything normal.

A wave approaches my pump. I go to handle it.

I attack the boss and then 100% lock up, 0 FPS. A few seconds later, turns out I'm dead. I load back in and the pump's dead.



Glad I got a fair chance to react to dying.

Glad I paid 35 Chaos for this experience.



As soon as my download for another game finishes, I'll never even look back. This game isn't even fun anymore, and I literally pay to have myself screwed over constantly. But you can only watch so much Netflix before wanting something else to do...

Who knows - if the change that this thread is about actually fixes something... maybe I'll not only play, but maybe even buy a supporter pack for GGG's support of people with less than optimal CPU setups. When a company shows that they care about their less fortunate playerbase, that's when I care about them.





Side note:

The very reason I had to manually cover that boss wave was because zero towers spawned for that lane. Well - one did. But guess what? It was behind a fucking wall, lmfao. I was literally forced into having to manually cover that lane. And then, of course, forced into losing the map because of the inevitable CPU lockup because it had to stop for 5 fucking seconds to load that boss's assets once he attacked me.

Such a shitshow. I got Fun Taxed so hard.
