Removing "Filter White Items"

I think that it's not a problem if it just exists.
I mean if someone wants on purpose to miss some chances and go for the easy solution then it's his decision.

Id recommend making the filter more robust instead of removing it. I never use it atm, but i would if i could choose which items to hide.

Filters id like to see:
item type
item level
socket count
quality value
implicit value

only read half of the first page. However perhaps a key could be keybound to toggle/on hold the filter. So that when you come across a sea of white with a click you can hide them all.
However im fine with it being removed I have never used it even in the ocean.

Thanks Maetaphor for my Beta Key :)

Playing Day Z I realized, that Arma II has a few double tap key commands, like w-w for sprinting.
Maybe if you double tap the normal item key that already exists, you could toggle the white filter on/off

I tried playing a little bit with "show white items" but soon it blurred my eyes too much, ignoring all white and blue items.
Too much information on too little space.
Combat is under the itemlayer, should be ontop.
Loot should never break through the bottom of the screen.

With the removal of the filter i beg for an overall 50% lootreduction, and some will not like that.

I'm always for less loot.
Expand it into a filter.

Let us pick level ranges and number of sockets.

If it is possible, of course.

I think it's compounded by the fact that the loots increase in multiplayer.

Which is where the individual loot allocation would help as each player only sees the equivalent of a solo game's drops.

I think the best drops should be echoed on the party chat to make things exciting, eg . "<soandso> found <xyz> unique item!" Which would make up for the supposedly "hidden" items that drop to other players. All the while making me feel like I was still part of it even if it doesn't drop for me.

Should have just ninja nerfed it.

But seriously, if there is a parking lot for 'would be nice to have', the suggestion for a customizable highlight option that is integrated with the toggle for 'always show all items' is on my list.

Heh... Make it a cash shop item.
Custom UI features.

I like the option personally, I just don't like the fact that I can accidentally pick up items when trying to move, and having the option to filter them out resolves that problem.

The option is off by default, so I say leave it in. People have the option to push Alt occasionally to see any other items dropped, and if they want to search for upgrades or whatever, they can do it that way.

I don't think there's any problem leaving it in.
That is not dead which can eternal lie.
And with strange aeons even death may die.
